Simple reason, metal case for the phone. i drop my phones a lot and all my plastic ones have little cracks and such. The htc one has a nice metal casing on it and i like that look and feel.

actually it should be the opposite, metal case, specially aluminum, does get cracks(rarely) or gets bent during impacts and they don't flex back.
while soft plastic(not the hard ones) just flexes back, hard-plastics though does get cracked but they're heat-treatable.
fiber reinforced soft polycarbonate works best as the exterior case since it absorbs impacts to some degree, why else would car bumpers be made out of fiberglass instead of some cheapo aluminum?

edit: ohh and theres this type of cases.

Those are your choices. Unless you just wanna sit here and whine about how the software/hardware isn't up there yet, you just make do. I can assure you it isn't hard to do so, esp with horrible subs and sd batch releases being seeded well enough, and with how many reincode groups (DeadFish etc) are out there.

ohh then you'd be quite happy with the up coming atom SOCs then. Silvermont, a true 2.1ghz quad-core 22nm SOC that finally supports out-of-order execution on top of having a few ivy-bridge IGP execution units (meaning some real GPU performance this time around), and all these while still maintaining the phone TDP portfolio.

expected yields would be at least twice as former atom dual+HT, but since OoO is being introduced we can expect an even more massive improvement in it's overall IPC, i'm guessing this thing's performance will come close to somewhere about 1/3 of ivy-b's IPC performance.

Maybe, but I already think that it's great to be able to play anime in HD on my SGS3. I don't really care about more power much, in fact at some point it just gets silly.

It might be worth it with a full fledged os, so I could at least play visual novels on it,  but right now? Hell no. This is plenty. I'm watching 720p on a tiny-associated, portable as hell device. To me, that's plenty. I don't need more. And yes, I just called my SGS3 tiny. People are really spoiled by mobile technology advances, huh?

Also, rather than cases, I really wish I had bought proper screen protection on this thing early on. I never figure out how the hell it happens, but scratches happen. And for some reason they all happen early on.

Let say i watch anime from my laptop, and suddenly want to watch it on my android...it something like splashtop streamer but only the media player only...

Is there any way/software to do it...ill try with the vlc streamer...

Im asking this if it is possible...

I don't get what your question is. Stick anime on your Android and you'll have anime on your Android; use whatever player you want.

Playing video via remote desktop connection is a pretty stupid idea in general. I would not recommend using Splashtop or any remote viewer software. The compromise for quality is not worth it. Better idea is to stream the media file directly, if you are worried about space usage; just make sure your connection is fast enough to stream what you want to stream (naturally, 1080p typically requires a faster connection). I use ES File Manager to do that - it can handle streaming over LAN and SFTP into MX Player.

why the hate? i've had one on my older phones and they aren't even more than 1mm thick =/ well corners does add a bit of chunk but it's overall thickness doesn't add much, imho you get some scratch and bump tank in return.
and yes some are even stylish enough to look awesome.

eitherway, if you don't mind buying another phone in just a few months though it shouldn't be of a concern, i mean you got $600 bucks to throw away every time it gets wrecked.
yes this applies to aluminum builds as well, bumps and kinks aren't ignorable, do some heavy enough damage and it won't slip back on.

edit: found what i was looking for yesterday, might wanna give it a read.
