metro.:
Yeah, well, I'm from Canada so our mobile plans are shit.

Honestly though, go for HTC, if you're not going full google.

Seems no one mentioned Xperia Z? I have the tablet Z it's the same as the phone, it's quad core, I know Samsung S4 has a better/a bit faster cpu but I like Z's features, water and dust resistant plus the casing is glass not a plastic. If you like a phablet go for Togari (Xperia Z Ultra), bravia engine is now called x-reality and Togari will be the first one to use x-reality. I only watch SD videos on my Tablet Z but it looks like upscaled with mobile bravia, I have some HD videos as well but I watch on a bigger screen. Download the app Player MX, it has 10 bit support, I find it amazing, whoever made that app really watches anime.

Saikoro:
Arr, what do i read there? Those phones can't playback 1080p 10bit?
Damn!!! xD
I was so looking forward to finally watch 1080p anime on my parents' hdtv!
I've always wanted to do that, but didn't know how to do it with the laptop, besides it being my old man's laptop, so he might not agree. If it's my own device, i can do what i want, is what i thought. Even bought that expensive cable...
But it's all no use if the hardware or software cannot handle it. How disappointing.
Hmm... Q__Q
Well, if it could play big 720p encodes well, that would also be good. Guess i'll just have to check it out.

edit:
Ah, lol!
Just tried a small 720 encode at 230mb/episode and the pans were totally jerky. XD
Guess these things are really no good for watching anime.

Btw, sorry for taking it off-topic, it's just that this video watching thing was a major point for me when buying my smartphone, but i got it all wrong. Ah well... i might have taken this one even without that.

megido-rev.M:
At this point in time phones don't really go better than 720p encodes, and 10-bit makes it harder.

Saikoro:
Hm... then i'd better go for older series, where 8-bit dvd encodes are the ultimate versions.
Does 10-bit really make a big difference? I never noticed any difference in performance on my computer. ???
