new android phone candidate

Yes, but it has been around for a few years now and i've seen some older encodes on bbt be replaced with new ones (which are often 10-bit). So it might be like having to look for xvid encodes instead of h264 encodes. They exist, but become fewer in number and harder to find as time passes and people switch to the new technology. Or so was my random guess without doing research. ::)

Can't be helped, it's almost morning and i gotta hit the sack now. It was just a slight shock that my brand-new device of awesome wasn't capable of all the things i thought it was.

for 10Bit - http://torrentfreaknews.blogspot.com/2013/03/high-10-profile-hi10p10-bit-encodes.html
this should give you an idea of what it is.

as for Hardware Acceleration, well think of it as a dedicated processing-chip for decoding video files, but decoding 10Bits requires as much as 4times the processing power and not to mention it needs a special layout since mapping 10Bit isn't the same as mapping 8Bit.

Before continuing, i choose these phone because its shape is similar to galaxy s2 (yes, the shape)...i dont like galaxy s3 shape, curvy...

Ok, im looking for storage (external+internal), ability to play 10bit 1080p anime with no lag and other reason yet to be added...

My primary candidate is jbutterfly since galaxy s4 shape havent been confirm, but my friend said i better choose htc one (latest)....

So, there you have it, and good night (2am here)...

Wait for Nexus 5 or GN3 ... No idea what other phones are out right now but don't waste your money on them. I recommend Nexus 5.

for phones though 10Bit is manageable, but you need at least a quad-core A9 or better to get a decent playback for 720P 10Bit.
as of this time 1080P 10Bit still isn't playable for the most part, although deadfish's encodes sometimes could playback smoothly.

edit: if you want to decode 1080P 10Bit encodes though, you might wanna look at incoming Atom Bay-trail, no i doubt the Phone Bay-trail would have enough Ghz to decode a full blown 1080P 10Bit, but the tablet Bay-trail should have enough.
if you don't understand what this is, Intel decided to launch processors to compete against the IPad, Nexus7 or Galaxy Tabs.

mine is snapdragon quad core + mx player from google play for playing 10 bit videos. galaxy s4 comes to mind, and the next note.

spec? and what is GN3? ahaha...
i noticed that my S2 cant play some of Coalgirls 1080p 8bit video namely Occult academy (SW), but it can play seitokai yakuindomo 1080p 8bit with no lag (HW+)...weird...

i wonder if Nexus 7 can play 10bit 1080p...hmmm...
