Saint Young Men
« on: March 14, 2013, 08:44:01 AM »

Jesus Christ and Gautama Buddha, the founders of Christianity and Buddhism, are living together as roommates in a Tokyo apartment while taking a vacation on Earth. The comedy often involves jokes about Christianity, Buddhism, and all things related, as well as the main characters' attempts to hide their identities and understand modern society in Japan.

2 episode OVA + Upcoming Movie

====

Show is quite  short, setting and characters reaction are really weird yet gave me some giggles... characters feels gay though

Anyways
(click to show/hide)

I think this got me hooked in reading the manga and probably watch for the upcoming movie

Lucky they didn't include a certain prophet into this story, otherwise we might've had another riot lolz

The art puts me off but I'll watch it for the comedic value (hopefully) as soon as the second OVA is out.
I'm known as Redfrags on most sites I frequent,
so if you find my name elsewhere, it's probably me :)

I genuinely laughed out loud watching this.

That poor kitty. And were they feeding the birds too? Or was it that Carpenter's song?
I loved tha tsong when I was little. lol

Well, it was either fear of riots, or lack of any knowledge of that other religion, or lack of much presence of said religion in Japan.
Timing is everything in comedy!

Have both OVAs been subbed? I haven't seen them up on Baka.

One of the OVAs has been subbed:

I read somewhere that the manga-ka for this said she would absolutely not allow the manga to be published in the USA, for fear of retaliation and lawsuits by certain Christian groups.   :-\
