Is Fanservice hate nonsense?

<< < (11/31) > >>

megido-rev.M:
Yes.
Also, hate is often nonsensical.

jaybug:
I think Bruno is about spot on. That 3rd category is a killer. Why? Or what's worse, why is she so young, and we are looking up her skirt? But that would be before the new censorship law was put in.

Fool010:
It's pretty obvious that complaining about fanservice in ecchi shows makes no sense at all. You won't be watching those shows without knowing what's coming to you i.e lame juvenile repetitive jokes, situational humor and borderline non-existent storyline.
Don't like it, don't watch it.

There's nothing wrong with occasional nudity and mild fanservice when it fits the context. As long as it doesn't feel forced and inadequate, it shouldn't detract from the story.

The 3rd category mentioned by brunoais brings up the most important part when it comes to fanservice, namely individual tolerance. That's what I believe to be the core of the matter, some will be able to overlook the occasional fanservice, while others won't.

But in the end, doesn't fiction mirror real life in some way ? Cleavage, camel toes, occasional panty shots and nudity exist there, would should they not in fiction ?

The funniest thing is that they complain as if the Echhi show stories would somehow be more interesting without the fanservice.

"Fanservice distract me" ... dude, you are watching an Ecchi show that doesn't take itself seriously, there is nothing for you to be distracted from to begin with.

AceHigh:
Even ecchi shows would benefit from not having bad fanservice. Flabby tits, cheap camera angles, annoying and overused awkward moments to name a few. Good fanservice is what I am OK with.

There is too much focus if it should be or should be instead of the quality it should have.
