Which anime series have you bailed out from and why?
mech:
Which anime series did you start but just couldn't finish because it wasn't your cup of tea (it's wasn't to your liking) or you just couldn't get into it for whatever reason?
There are series I never start because I know they don't fit my tastes so that should prevent this problem, however based on all the positive reviews I read about Clannad I started to watch that series recently. The initial episodes pointed to some weird alternate reality (that doll made from garbage) which I found puzzling but interesting, however the series quickly just turned into some adolescent fantasy of a male surrounded by a lot of cute ditzy girls and his adventures with them. I read the series was emotional, I got up to episode 9 which seemed to finally wrap up the starfish saga (I felt like jumping out of a window if I had to be subjected to any more episodes about those starfish) but I felt nothing at the moment which I assume was supposed to be emotional peak of that storyline. I think part of the reason I felt nothing was I just didn't buy the character development, most of the characters felt more like caricatures. Anyways that was the moment where I knew I had to bail out from the series, it just wasn't for me. To sum it up, it just felt too juvenile for me. No offense to anyone who loves the series, different strokes for different folks.

Oh man. I had a lot before my OCD kicked in and I had to finish all the ones I thought were trash but still watchable.
The only ones I still have dropped are:
Deadman Wonderland It's so terrible. What a horrible way of putting together death, vulgarity, and just utter nonsense. Terrible scripting, characters, and non-realistic plot. It was like they took the movie Death Race and instead of racing, it's a theme park where it's just a rampage of death and gore. A lot of things are just over exaggerated to such an unbelievable degree. Decided to finish it. It's rated 1/10.
The only other one is GJ-bu and it's only dropped because around episode 3 or 4 there is this disgusting spider. First time I ever saw a spider in anime and it was the worst kind. Eek. I have arachnophobia.
Oh, I guess I technically dropped Naruto Shippuuden. No battle should take six episodes to complete. What a drag...
I somewhat wished I dropped more, because watching a lot of crappy anime to the end seems to have deteriorated part of my life.

Lets see.
Bleach - Everything after the Soul Society arc wasn't necessary.
Brigadoon - Too kiddie for me.
Gunslinger Girl - I had moral complications with this. Less about them using girls as weapons, more about them emotionally stunting them. And the pace of the show wasn't to my taste.
Kampfer - Just so many things wrong with it, going so far to emasculate the male lead as to literally remove his testicles... He was seriously girlier than any of the other female characters...
Kurokami - Main female's voice (both Eng and Jap) annoyed me into dropping it by the 4th episode.
Maze Mega Burst Space - English dub was god awful, and the Japanese dub was just as bad.
Naruto - Because reasons.
Needless - I hate parody anime, and can't believe that a "Seinen" would parody a shounen and screw up this bad.
Welcome to the NHK! - Watched the first 5 episodes... The fact that the majority of the episodes took place in his paranoid conspiracy theorist fantasies pissed me off so much that I had to get rid of it and rate it a 1/10. I'd rate it a Zero, but they didn't give that option on MyAnimeList.
One Piece - I hit this one in different sections because it bores me for the most part. Now I'm just done with it.
Princess Resurrection - Couldn't stand it. The art was so bland, the male lead was so pathetic, its just not worth my time.
Cromartie Highschool - Its just not my type of comedy.
Suzuka - It was terrible in every regard. I kept watching, hoping it would get better, and it didn't.
Tokyo Majin - The art style was gnawing at the recesses of my mind, slowly driving me insane. That, and they never once let up with the tension by using some sort of comic relief. Hell, even the "relationship" moments were tense.
Yumekui Merry - Something about it just didn't work for me.
Showdown:
Same thing happened to me for Clannad. I'll also mention Lovely Complex: could not stand Risa personality and the character design.

Those Who Hunt Elves.. Oh man American mercenaries jumped to another dimension with their tank and to get home must strip beautiful elves naked to see if their body holds the writing from part of a spell Epic plot...
