Death Note - I stopped at 25 because I heard the later episodes completely ruin the story.
Naruto - It advances so sloooowly.
Gantz - It advances so sloooowly (also, heard that the ending sucks, so I read the manga instead).
One Piece - It just never ends.
Code Geass - Not my genre.
Sword Art Online - Thought it would be good, but nope.
Top o Nerae 2 - It's nothing like the prequel.

Grenadier and Girls Bravo. Ecchi for ecchi's sake bores the hell out of me, it turns out.

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro. A detective show that introduces the only person who could have possibly done it so obviously every episode, combined with the motive that they're batshit insane. Dumb.

Law of Ueki. Probably going to be joined by Hitman Reborn soon. I think I'm just not interested in longer shows in general, but shounan shows where everything happens so slowly in particular.

Kujibiki Unbalance. The Genshiken show within a show is a completely uninteresting shounan high school series it turns out.

Hokuto no Ken 2. Not sure how I managed to watch all 109 episodes of the first series, but didn't bother to watch the second. Deleted both for space.

Bakemonogatari - I was going to watch this and got past the 2nd episode, but then I read alot of peoples' comments saying it was a harem. Immediately dropped it.

Those comments lied! It's NOT a harem! I know, I watch a lot of harem comedies  :)

There's an underlying story that connects all the -monogatari series, which makes sense because that's how the novels were too. The female characters the MC Male encounters (including his own sisters!) are only secondary to his main love interest.  Or Senjogahara would kill him! Or WORSE! lolz!
This gets explained as the plot moves along.
It's like a series of adventures, with characters moving in and out of the story.

I cannot recommend the series highly enough! It's the 2nd best anime I've ever seen! (Next to Cat Girl Nuku Nuku, of course...)

Started watching it recently, now on episode 6.
From the point of view of someone who nothing knew about the series, it looks quite harem in he's own way, let me explain.
So far what i most get from the series is that it is going to be, all along, about girls falling in love for this one dude, one after the other. Tho it doesn't have much fan-service normally associated with harem for this is told more in he's perspective in a more introspective way. But so far I think that if someone doesn't want to see an anime about girls hitting on a guy this is not for them... I'll just keep watching to see if I'm wrong, there's only 15 eps anyway.

It will only look like a harem if that is what you look for.

While the girls (other than his girl friend) like him, that only makes them treat him better than someone they're indifferent to or dislike, it is not a harem since the girls are not after him at all and he is not after them either.

Oh I agree: It LOOKS a little like a harem! Luckily there's TONS of plot and character development to make it a great show. The MC male is NOT a wimp! lolz!
If anything: it explores different relationships men and women can have. Love? Friends? There's more to it than those two choices, eh? Each "girl" he meets treats him differently, and his interactions change accordingly too. He only loves Senjogahara though. Good choice!

"Only 15 episodes" Well, the other two series, Nise- and Neko- are directly related, they continue to expose the wonderful continuity of the series. The movie (Kizu-) should be even better!

Welcome to the NHK! - Watched the first 5 episodes... The fact that the majority of the episodes took place in his paranoid conspiracy theorist fantasies pissed me off so much that I had to get rid of it and rate it a 1/10.

What? Those paranoid conspiracy fantasies moments are not so frequent, and not that serious ... the show is definitely not about conspiracy theories.
My list - Truth is a double-edged sword, with no handle.

BTOOM: "This just doesn't feel right.." *chuckes it because it doesn't feel right*

I mean come on... this is one of the world's greatest BTOOM players and he can't figure out that a timer on a hand held object is a bomb? And once he figures out that it's a bomb, doesn't get the fact that the countdown is a timer?! How stupid can a protagonist get?!

Oh, there have been plenty - usually I just think "I don't really want to see more of this" and it sort of falls lower in my priority list of things to see, until if falls right off without me making the decision consciously.

Last ones I remember specifically were Beelzebub, Sword Art Online, and Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse.

Beelzebub failed to make me laugh once, and I'm not that hard of an audience really. It was like watching a watered down version of Cromartie High mixed with the early episodes of Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn. I wasn't particularly impressed with its action, art style, plots, or characters either really.

Sword Art Online just floundered around, it went from being surprising and dramatic with interesting protagonists to fairly predictable with highly conventional protagonists. This could be me, I wanted this series to go a certain way and saw things in it that weren't really there, but I choose to blame it.

Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse, on the other hand, I just couldn't forgive. The writing was so stupid, the characters boring and obvious, and it was just so infuriating because the opening episodes were so dark and teased you with the prospect of a cheesy sort of Lovecraftian horror mixed with a cheesy sort of mecha - two things which are of interest to me and were handled well enough for those episodes. Then time skip forward and I get whiny crap with characters I hate working towards some annoying harem romance/comedy and... just... awful.

It's explained later how he was Tasered in the head and has amnesia... yeah weaksauce for sure, but at least they explained it eventually.
It was a chore getting through it, it did 'pick up' a bit near the end. But the glaring gaps in logic and continuity? Difficult to overcome. It also didn't "end" it just... was over.

I imagine "spoilers" are OK here? Since we're talking vaguely about BAD anime?

I've come to learn that taste is subjective. However bad you and all you know think the work is, there is at least someone who wants to read or watch it. If it's trivial, you may not need to care about spoilers, but if it's something big, or if it "ruins" parts of the story, please consider using spoiler tags.

...exceptions may be made if it's really old, or if the spoiler is general knowledge.

FLCL- cant even get a chuckle, i thought it be like Excel Saga only watched 2 episodes

Gintama - 1st episode got me to sleep, tried it for the 2nd episode... ok still no, 3rd episode... I think I'm glad that I only DL'ed 10 episodes back then

One Piece - stopped watching at Fishmen Island arc, bored due to slow pacing due to 1 chapter 1 episode thing since Impel Down... just going to stick with the manga instead

Sakurasou - lame script perhaps turned me off by halfway... people keep saying its been good in the 2nd half , I just might give it another chance b4 spring anime series start

I rarely bail an anime, mostly because I likely wouldn't have started watching it in the first place if I did.
On the top of my head, it would be One Outs for whatever reason.

Talking about a specific scene in the first episode is hardly spoilerific. Sorry to anyone who was going to watch it, cause don't.

Also, the new gundam... what was it... Gundam AGE. Absolute garbage of a show. I mean, 50 episodes of Gundam Wing have been the BEST Gundam show that I have ever seen. Semi-flat characters are the bi-show to the political drama between the factions... and Zechs is the only real dynamic character (you could say Relena too, but she's wasn't as well played as Zechs). To top it all off, Endless Walts is an amazing way to end the entire timeline.

Bring back the former glory of Gundam Wing! Bring in politics into the fray... and stop having annoying kids pilot multi-billion dollar mobile suits.

The second season is arguably where it really picks up. First season is still worth seeing though.

Hmm... Let's see what's on the dropped list for me that I will probably never, ever, ever try to suck it up and finish.

-Dragonaut: the Resistance: Watched 2 episodes and just found it dull. Is there anything worth watching it for?
-Kaze no Stigma: Watched 2 episodes, and it looked exactly like every other show in that genre with cookie cutter characters and nothing remarkable about it.

I've been trying to plug through my list and complete everything I've ever started that's been translated in some way, so I might actually watch them. They'll be the last, though.

Kind of, the original wasn't based off a manga though. I believe they did make one later after the series was considered popular. They did have more story which they intended to use, but it was cut short due to ratings. There's actually a manga about the inception and production of the MSG series, which isn't half bad.

I look forward to a remake, the movies kind of gussied up the action a bit, but that's all. The attempt to reboot the series for millennials with Gundam Seed was just disappointing.
