Which anime series have you bailed out from and why?

Takeshi:

* Area no KishiJust didn't engage me enough to keep watching. Turns out it's a pretty bad adaptation as well.

* BeelzebubJust a bunch of fighting. It wasn't really that interesting to watch. Humour wasn't great also.

* Dragon Ball KaiCensored and bad replacement scenes for scenes that didn't transfer well.

* Fairy TailBogged down adaptation of the manga. Doesn't warrant to be watched as much as Naruto Shippuuden does.

* KatanagatariJust a really annoying anime. Production values are great and the artwork is really unique. But the dialogie and characters drive me fucking insane. Do something instead of talking about shit!

* Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn!Dropped it in favor of the manga because of bad animation and censor.

* Polar Bear CafeNot funny enough for me.

* The Sacred BlacksmithA little bitch. I dislike lolis, and I hate lolis who are bossy even more.

But the Endless Eight arc of Haruhi Suzumiya is one of the few times I got so irritated with a show that I had to drop it altogether.  I mean, I get it, I understand (after the fact) that there was a reason for that arc but I'm not patient enough to stick it out.

That might be true, but there was no reason for doing it 8 frikking times, the manga only did it twice, what worse is I have a friend that actually liked the endless eight >.>

Yeah, it's one of those things that I can intellectually appreciate the merits of doing something so unusual, but as a viewer, I was royally pissed off to have wasted my time.  I think I actually watched 3 episodes of it and fast-forwarded through 2 more before I abandoned the show.

It's from the same author as the monogatari series. So dialogue heavy is to be expected I guess.

I rather liked it. I'd rather have interesting characters than a stock shounan series hero that's more or less indistinguishable from any number of other action heros. All the main characters were pretty distinct.

As for the pacing, I dunno what to say, it IS like a shounan series in that there's a collection of things that need to be done, and every episode they get it done. It ends pretty conclusively too. Worth sticking through in my opinion.

I watched it all, but I refuse to buy it, while I have the first season, the film, and getting all the novels  ::)
