Please highlight the titles that you've dropped so we can go through them easilier, it can help us sometimes ;]

my list:
-School Days, because I just couldn't stand the way they behaved, it seemed less realistic than anything ever, deleted domething between first and second ep and forgot most about it, but still I feel, that I shouldn't touch that.
-Infinite Stratos, Shuffle!, no fun, no interest in the plot and a lot of other series waiting for my time
-K-ON!!, I didn't intend to drop it, I just don't remember the last time I watched an episode and I won't in 2 years at least probably, it was as enjoyable as watching advertisments, without the annoyance though.
-Chaos;HEAd, at the beginning seemed like something I might enjoy, a mix of S;G and NHK!, plus the amv I liked a lot, after the whole story I realised that I went through all the pain without any positives, so if you're wondering whether to drop it or not, go ahead.

And the two I just ask myself how the hell did they get on my PC:
-Loveless
-Seikon no Qwaser

and several others deleted right after seeing a thumbnail

^ Good thing you dropped School Days. It was a waste of my time. Shuffle is also a terrible anime that I should have dropped. K-On is really slow and it's only if you like Slice of Life.

@Sepukku, After Story is honestly much better than the original season of Clannad. Just skip/ignore the alternative reality aspect.

Is still laughing about the spider comment...

I'm happy I can amuse you. Lol.

I don't get the joke ... what is it about Spider  :o

Read my original post. It's the 2nd post in the thread.

Yeah, School Days was like something you really want to end fast and then finishes off with a nice boat.

Code Geass. I tried to like it because i generally like the genre. But couldn't find any "soul" in the characters

I just watched School Days at 3x speed and read the subtitles. If you get the fact that it's sort of like the Madoka Magica of the harem fantasy anime, you can survive it.

It still made me feel very unclean though. I know people with similar sociopathic tendencies and self-destructive personalities, albeit not that hyperbolic

I don't drop anime at all really, because I usually like to see it until the end (mostly because if I start something, I don't like to drop it in the middle), but there was one that made absolutely no sense:

Amnesia
The entire plot line basically made no sense, and after getting utterly confused, I decided to read up the ending and it's not even vaguely explained until the second-to-last episode.

I have only ever in my lifetime of anime dropped Shinryaku! Ika Musume and Seto no Hanayome.

Now that I think back, I don't even know why I dropped them. I guess I just downloaded them and never really bothered to finish them. Must've been because I was not in the mood or something. I'd better go pick them up again so that I can say I've never dropped an anime series.... (that I can think of)

I thought Ika Musume was hilarious, in the sense that it's quite ridiculous. I still have to watch the second season though.

...wonders why a story like Loveless can be deleted without watching it...

I've forced myself to finish a few shows that I hated.  Texhnolyze, Bakuretsu Tenshi, and Gunbuster 2 come to mind.

But the Endless Eight arc of Haruhi Suzumiya is one of the few times I got so irritated with a show that I had to drop it altogether.  I mean, I get it, I understand (after the fact) that there was a reason for that arc but I'm not patient enough to stick it out.  Once a show crosses a certain line with me, that's it, I'm done, I completely lose interest.  This happens more for me with American TV than with anime, but it does happen.
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.

That might be true, but there was no reason for doing it 8 frikking times, the manga only did it twice, what worse is I have a friend that actually liked the endless eight >.>

Some Anime I have dropped
Beelzebub - when I have made it to episode 12 I thought "this is really bad I'm just gonna read the manga instead." "okay the manga wasn't better" dropped
Fairy Tail - Really bad compared to the manga
Red Garden - not my type of anime
Seitokai Yakuindomo - the Anime only had jokes the rest was pure shit, and all jokes was just sex jokes, which you get tired of fast.
Maria Holic Alive - how I got trough first season is still a mystery to me :S
MM! - wow just wow, I didn't expect much from it, but man was it bad.
Kuroshitsuji 2 - they ruined first season ending for this?

  • Area no Kishi
Just didn't engage me enough to keep watching. Turns out it's a pretty bad adaptation as well.
  • Beelzebub
Just a bunch of fighting. It wasn't really that interesting to watch. Humour wasn't great also.
  • Dragon Ball Kai
Censored and bad replacement scenes for scenes that didn't transfer well.
  • Fairy Tail
Bogged down adaptation of the manga. Doesn't warrant to be watched as much as Naruto Shippuuden does.
  • Katanagatari
Just a really annoying anime. Production values are great and the artwork is really unique. But the dialogie and characters drive me fucking insane. Do something instead of talking about shit!
  • Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn!
Dropped it in favor of the manga because of bad animation and censor.
  • Polar Bear Cafe
Not funny enough for me.
  • The Sacred Blacksmith
A little bitch. I dislike lolis, and I hate lolis who are bossy even more.

Yeah, it's one of those things that I can intellectually appreciate the merits of doing something so unusual, but as a viewer, I was royally pissed off to have wasted my time.  I think I actually watched 3 episodes of it and fast-forwarded through 2 more before I abandoned the show.

It's from the same author as the monogatari series. So dialogue heavy is to be expected I guess.

I rather liked it. I'd rather have interesting characters than a stock shounan series hero that's more or less indistinguishable from any number of other action heros. All the main characters were pretty distinct.

As for the pacing, I dunno what to say, it IS like a shounan series in that there's a collection of things that need to be done, and every episode they get it done. It ends pretty conclusively too. Worth sticking through in my opinion.

I watched it all, but I refuse to buy it, while I have the first season, the film, and getting all the novels  ::)

Hahaha. That's what I thought as well, initially. Yeah, the characters are probably the ugliest I've ever seen. But! Everything else is perfect. The setting, the music, the backgrounds. Everything is dark and gritty and fits the series really well. As long as it follows the manga, there's no way I'm dropping it just due to the godawful rotoscoping.

WTF ... did they fired all the good artists or was this a way to try to win over the "No Fanservice" Snob crowd ?

New winner: Aku No Hana. GODDAMN!!!! Sawa!!!! WHY?!!!!
Demons run when a good man goes to war. Night will fall and drown the sun, when a good man goes to war. Friendship dies and true love lies, night will fall and the dark will rise, when a good man goes to war. Demons run but count the cost, the battle's won, but the child is lost.
