Is this possible?

Is it possible to just seed something and not download it?
I've been wanting to seed a few older downloads that I had leeched (I'm bad I know) some time ago and decided that I should try seeding them.
However, in that time, I've lost the original torrent file.  Is it possible to just seed a torrent and not download it as well, or will I be forced to re-download?

You need the file downloaded, what would you seed without the file itself?
[18:20:14] <+kurandoinu> How surprising. A conversation with gits turned to physics. That never ever happens.

I...I don't know, actually.

What exactly do you mean?

Do you have the Files of, for example, Torrent X and you want to seed them without downloading the .torrent file?

If you still have the anime/manga/whatever you want to seed you can just download the torrent file again. Point your torrent client to where the anime/manga/whatever is saved on your computer. The client will check if all files are there and, if they are, start seeding.

I think the answer to your question is "yes".

After searching about for awhile, I figured out my problem.
See, I wanted to seed a file I downloaded from here before, but didn't have the .torrent for it.  So I simply did what the wiki had said and I was able to raise my ration a tiny bit.
I'm gonna keep seeding for awhile.

seems there's someone other than me who mistypes 'ratio' as 'ration'  ;D no biggie
