The first season of White Album was rather nice, kinda not following the standard patterns. Not liking the MC at all was an obstacle for me, though. In particular I didn't really like the second season.

This one feels more standard and streamlined. Decent for sure, but not great.

Episode 12 had ALL THE FEELINGS! I thought it was the final episode too! If it had, I would have loved the ending. Open-ended, but his choice was clear. The last episode better not screw this up, or else I will rage like an inferno.

Excuse the double.

So I just marathoned the show and fuck... Just wow.

As a side note, did anyone else think it was like School Days with a slightly less autistic main character?

Where is that unique art style in the first season? Where is that big hype, the large gap in status and differences? ... I'm half-way through episode one ... I do not like this at all. I don't feel the unknown but rather I feel another typical love series ... Fuck. I had high expectations for this shit ..

I thought White Album 1 was really shite so to be honest I was really happy that this was totally different. It definitely surpassed my initial expectations.

That's the thing, there's a shit load of anime like this one. Take a good example of Myself;Yourself - This is one of my favorite series but yet it drives you into different corners. I mean who would have expected things to turn out like shit for some of the characters. White Album I makes you stumble and trip and keeps spinning your world around. I love series like that. Realism at its best.

Edit -- Also, seeing White Album I character's art and names flash around is freaking awesome! Wooohooo I feel like going for a good spin with the first season sometime soon ..

just finished watching it. . .pretty good. . .although I liked White Album I better. . .that guy was a serious player. . .this one not so much. . .even though he had the harem ending he was kind of rejecting her at the end. . .wTF! he had it perfect to go "comfort" her after losing  her best friend. . .

What can we say ... kids and their little teenage drama. WA1 was better since you really don't know what in the hell is going to happen the next episode. I thought it was going to end up like School Days.

With that, I suspect they're going to produce a second season for White Album II since they haven't dug up so much about the main character's life (hence, go back and see some of the episodes when he came home and he mentioned somewhere along the lines that he had his own issues and showed a sad expression - there was that white board with the lights turned off. Nothing mentioned about his past), two that ... what was that girl's name with the light orange hair? Whatever her name is, she had her own personal issues which was only expressed thinly on text and in a small scene and three - Kazusa coming back from her piano lesson will be pretty awesome part. So there's the three points, considering this was a good romance. Kazusa's character was damn good. It was her or this series would have flunked to shit.

Sounds like it's worth watching.

Since you're talking about School Days, you'll be happy watching it in blu-ray.
