Banner of the Stars

Banner of the Stars V was published last month, ending the series' eight year hiatus.

Is there any chance that it will be animated?

It doesn't seem likely because book IV still hasn't been animated, and book III was condensed into a two part OVA, but I'd dearly love to see more Banner of the Stars, especially because I don't think that the book III OVA was a satisfactory conclusion to the series.

I need a satisfactory conclusion. Lafiel has to become Empress and she and Jinto must have lots and lots of babies.

(click to show/hide)I want to know if she's dead or not. She didn't make an appearance in BotS II or III after her fleet was destroyed, even if her flagship was still mostly intact.

The light novels are probably more explicit regarding her fate, but they've not been translated into English, and I've got quite a few more Anki reps to do before I can read Japanese myself.

Would anyone who's a bit more fluent in Japanese mind telling me what happened to her?

Oh, and I'd love to see some spoilers for BotS V, I've not been able to find a summary anywhere. These 2ch threads are discussing the book, if anyone can read them.
