@bluethegreat: EEK! If that thing pops out an eyeball? Or starts complaining that the wind is scary? Run!

Nice plant, do you happen to know it's name? I'm thinking of adding a new plant or two to my "flower garden" (It's tiny! But nice).

@MrIntruder: I agree! And the anime is based on an ongoing manga. I'm reading the chapters AFTER they are in the anime... it's really good!

Nakamura really does like Kasuga, but since she's a deviant, she's expressing it in a very unusual way, eh? Yes, the two most likely ways she got the way she is are: mental illness and trauma.
Usually people become radically deviant a bit later in life...

actually im not sure. i make deliveries for a living and saw it on someones porch. (thus the reason pic i so blurry, i was trying to take it on the downlow without being spotted). looked to be fake. it made me do a double take, art leaking into reality lol.

yeah ya know i created a triangle similar to this a few years ago. holy crap was it fun. i so love nakamura. i know what shes doing is "terrible" but wow, shes getting her groove on in a big way. if only whats-his-name could settle into it a little and take all the embarrassment and funnel it to the proper places...

Ey up, yet another great episode this week but did it have to end quickly??? This series needs double length episodes! :'(

I'm happy that we're seeing Kasuga develop now and with this episode as it drew to a conclusion I thought "Yes, his balls are dropping! Go on lad! He finally decided "Fuck it!""

Can't wait for next weeks episode already, so far though this really is one of my favourites that I think I'll archive ;)

Every... episode... gets... better!

I laughed SO HARD throughout episode 7! It was glorious!

Nakamura is -my- kind of girl! Nothing wrong with Saeki: she's pretty and sweet and smart and all that good stuff... but Nakamura's a girl you can really sink your teeth into...
...or she can bite you too! That also works! It's working (so far) for Kasuga!

Oh man this is not fair! Every ending of each episode just hanging a tantalising carrot! 25 minutes is not enough for each episode!

Just as we think, Kasuga you lucky devil, BAM! Saeki makes the connection, BAM! Saeki poses the question, BAM! There roles the credits.... BASTARD, ANOTHER WEEK TO WAIT! Oh the suspense is killing me!

Well, the manga is in it's 10th volume right now while Episode 7 ended somewhere in Volume 2? Just for everyone's sake... this show will have a second season/extended to 24 episodes. It has to be because this shit is too good.

Just watched episode 8. My recommendation: Don't eat before watching the episode...

*MAJOR* Spoilers Ahead. Please don't open if you don't want to ruin it for yourself.

Now that I think about it, not really any major spoilers you couldn't deduce from last week's episode, but I still recommend watching it first before looking at what I said. I am very interested in what other people think. Anyways, I cannot wait til next week to watch the show, I'm gonna continue with the manga. >.>

Couldn't agree with you more, it really is astounding this series keeps you tense throughout.

I know a lot of people have been complaining about the first 7-10 minutes of this latest episode that it may have been boring or unnecessary but I feel it was intentional, there to setup the mood and there to show the elation and feeling of being content after just letting go but how that feeling is just a fleeting moment as once again the tension builds up as reality hits.

I'm actually thinking of buying into the manga, I read some of it online and now I'm concidering just buying the volumes (only about £6 per volume from amazon/waterstones - or is there anywhere better to use?).

Out of pure respect for this anime (and I like how Saeki looks in the manga more than in the anime), I will buy the books. Only $10 per volume is a steal. The last manga I was really this into was Kare Kano (ironically, another unmasking love story).

i disagree that nakamura's reactions/reasonings are "out there". she wants chaos around herself. the anticipation of the classroom scene, her secret with kasuga, those knowing glance to him while everyone else is oblivious, thats pure gold. fodder for the soul in that type of person. sitting back and looking at your creation, reaping your rewards. man shes so awesome, my kinda crazy!!!!

Saeki just shut down i think. shes kinda in shock right now. shes just trying to make sense of everything thats going on. shes trying to make order. so her questioning also doesnt seem that far fetched either.

@TMRNetShark: Don't cheat and read ahead!  ;) That's how I'm doing it, and it's working VERY well for me!
Watch anime: read manga = double the fun!

Re: Death Note? Now that you mention it? These DO have a lot in common! They start with (seemingly!) nothing and then grind tension out of every tiny aspect of the plot! Which is a GOOD thing!
Another one is Toradora! Where they take two (seemingly!) opposite characters and show just how much they are alike. And in love! Ooo!

Do you know how HARD it is to find Manga in Winnipeg? Oy! I mean any "good" manga besides "Bleach" and other "mass market" crap...

As for poor Saeki (as @bluethegreat notes) she's figured out that something "deep" is going on and wants IN ON IT! But is scared of what "IT" might be!
You know, "IT"! Look at IT! Scary eh? MwaaaHahaha!

She really is "wetter than an otter's pocket"! Oh baby!

Well this week the cliffhanger came to pass, surprising that Saeki wasn't all that phased by what she found out, if anything she seemed delighted that it had been Kasuga who did those things but I guess what this weeks episode is mainly about is that Kasuga is perhaps realising he's got problems and once again what do we see? We see him legging it...

I suppose this week if we want to reflect on the episode is probably about a form of depression creeping in, being unable to confront problems square on, otherwise it wasn't all that a spectacular episode although I think I saw a hint of jealousy in Nakamura after she saw Kasuga's mother.

Should I put all this in a spoiler tag? I don't think I've revealed anything as such?
