Out of pure respect for this anime (and I like how Saeki looks in the manga more than in the anime), I will buy the books. Only $10 per volume is a steal. The last manga I was really this into was Kare Kano (ironically, another unmasking love story).

bluethegreat:
i disagree that nakamura's reactions/reasonings are "out there". she wants chaos around herself. the anticipation of the classroom scene, her secret with kasuga, those knowing glance to him while everyone else is oblivious, thats pure gold. fodder for the soul in that type of person. sitting back and looking at your creation, reaping your rewards. man shes so awesome, my kinda crazy!!!!

Saeki just shut down i think. shes kinda in shock right now. shes just trying to make sense of everything thats going on. shes trying to make order. so her questioning also doesnt seem that far fetched either.

@TMRNetShark: Don't cheat and read ahead!  ;) That's how I'm doing it, and it's working VERY well for me!
Watch anime: read manga = double the fun!

Re: Death Note? Now that you mention it? These DO have a lot in common! They start with (seemingly!) nothing and then grind tension out of every tiny aspect of the plot! Which is a GOOD thing!
Another one is Toradora! Where they take two (seemingly!) opposite characters and show just how much they are alike. And in love! Ooo!

Do you know how HARD it is to find Manga in Winnipeg? Oy! I mean any "good" manga besides "Bleach" and other "mass market" crap...

As for poor Saeki (as @bluethegreat notes) she's figured out that something "deep" is going on and wants IN ON IT! But is scared of what "IT" might be!
You know, "IT"! Look at IT! Scary eh? MwaaaHahaha!

She really is "wetter than an otter's pocket"! Oh baby!

*Manga Spoiler*
(click to show/hide)They stopped the episode freakin' short at a critical point on fucking purpose... those bastards.

MrIntruder:
Well this week the cliffhanger came to pass, surprising that Saeki wasn't all that phased by what she found out, if anything she seemed delighted that it had been Kasuga who did those things but I guess what this weeks episode is mainly about is that Kasuga is perhaps realising he's got problems and once again what do we see? We see him legging it...

I suppose this week if we want to reflect on the episode is probably about a form of depression creeping in, being unable to confront problems square on, otherwise it wasn't all that a spectacular episode although I think I saw a hint of jealousy in Nakamura after she saw Kasuga's mother.

Should I put all this in a spoiler tag? I don't think I've revealed anything as such?
