Upload statistics stopped updating

<< < (3/4) > >>

Freedom Kira:
Like I said, make sure your client's settings for graceful exit are all set to exit gracefully.

If you are certain that you are not seeding any of the torrents that are shown as seeding, write down all the statistics of the 35 torrents on the site and stop your client for a couple days, and then see if the numbers have changed (on the site, of course, not in your client).

If the numbers did change, there are two possibilities:
-you're actually still seeding those torrents, or
-your passkey got leaked and someone else is using it.

Note that the second possibility is not likely if you haven't seen any new torrents added and if the total downloaded amount on each torrent only shows the amount that you've downloaded (usually equal to the torrent size).

If it still really bugs you a lot, you can change your passkey. This will cause all torrents linked to your account to stop working, and you will have to either redownload all the torrent files (not the files in the torrent) and reseed, or change the tracker URL on each torrent to reflect your new passkey. Depending on how many torrents you want to have running, this process could take a very long time.

ForceFr:
okay, i get it Freedom Kira. Ill follow you your step. and here's what i did last time. i closed my utorrent normally without use win task manager, opened utorrent again, remove all  completed seeds, download a hentai manga (sorry to being a pervert). and after download is complete, it turn out like this

oh i almost forgot, i already change my passkey before i delete my completed seed. and of course i update my seeding but still it didn't work

Freedom Kira:
I only see two active torrents on your account now, so that seems to have gotten rid of the 35 mysterious torrents.

You also haven't mentioned anything about changing your client's settings to close gracefully... If it makes it more clear, uTorrent has a particular setting somewhere that disables graceful close, so that when it shuts down it just shuts down without sending tracker updates. Probably doesn't matter much anymore, unless the problem persists.

ForceFr:
it works now  :), thanks you for your advice Freedom Kira, Al_sleeper, and ConsiderPhlebas. and sorry for the trouble, im still newbie. and just one question, how to close utorrent gracefully, can you give step by step how to do that?. and thanks once again  :D

Southrop:
Check that the exit gracefully flag is set in the advanced settings:

Then just exit normally either by closing uTorrent or right clicking on the tray icon and exiting.
