I don't know; if I was a lobster I'd take the 6 seconds of being boiled alive rather than the possible minutes or hours of being cracked open by a predator in the ocean. I find humans tend to take the term "humane" a little too seriously. A lion isn't humane with it's meals because it is the predator, and the meal is inferior fodder. Just some food for thought.

Anyway, on topic. When anime seasons change. I just get a bittersweet feeling.

The lion isn't humane with its pray because there is no natural selection pointing toward treating its pray more humanely. It has nothing to do with being inferior or superior.
