Things that kinda make you sad

Wow that sucks tiff. I tried dragon age origins (the first part of course) and it ran perfectly on windows 8. And I am sure I had at least 20 or even more more mods on it. Most were graphic enhancer and each cash terms armor and makeup were completely from mods. Playing without mods makes me sad indeed. Guess I ain't shifting to windows 8.1 anytime soon. I haven't checked or tried but are there mods for NFS? Mainly hot pursuit and the latest rivals.

I know some of the files didn't transfer when I copied them because it said the file paths were too long or something which is probably why, but... now I'm put into the position of having to go one by one and finding which mod(s) cause my game to CTD then reinstalling them. It's very inconvenient and will probably take weeks to get a good stable Skyrim again.

Kinda puts me off even playing Skyrim since I gave up the really nice save I was on due to the stability issues. I'd CTD like every 5-10 mins at random... I had to quicksave constantly, and use an autosave mod just in case I forgot.

I reconfigured it to an absolute minimal arrangement the other day and it didn't crash for the little bit I played but I think it'll probably take a bit more before Ill know if it's stable or not... then I guess I can try adding like 5 mods at a time.

...so much work.

Well, I don't have time for all that so it'll probably take me a few months before I can actually realistically play it with a serious save that isn't just testing stability. That kinda makes me sad...

This is why you pack the whole thing into 7z files when you've got a solid state you want to use further down to line for something.
Saved my ass from total reinstall a good couple of times.

Dragon Age seriously rustled my jimmies.
I bought it on Steam when it came out.
The game crashed after 5 to 10 minutes, just like with you. I never made it further than like 3 hours in.
Also I got the highest possible pack with a bunch of DLC. That i never got. After multiple tickets with dev.
Dragon Age was probably my biggest fail of the past 5 years, game stability wise.
Having Skryim on launch, this means a lot :P

Dragon Age Origins or Dragon Age II? DAO was extremely stable for me.

Mistgun_Zero:
Funny. while DAO1 was extremely stable, I don't remember DAO2 ever crashing on me. And yes I had mods in DAO2, though besides the main character armor and weapon mod, I don't think I had another any other.
