Post here what anime you
think deserve sequels.

- Melacholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
- Ouran High School Host Club
- GTO ((anime ver) i don't know why but it felt kind of incomplete to me)
- FLCL
- Love Hina (id like to see more of the manga be turned into anime)

And yeah thats about it.

I hope this includes those that need to be finished as well, in which case I would have to say The Twelve Kingdoms. Also, Golden Boy, Teizokurei Daydream, and Tenjou Tenge off the top of my head.

Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi is only the first of 7 or 8 stories about Suzumiya Haruhi. A sequel wont be unexpected.
I'm not sure about GTO, the manga goes further and alot of stuff happens before but I think they've covered the best parts.

The Twelve Kingoms hasn't been finished yet (the novels) I think, so they cant continue the anime, which is a damn shame.

FLCL is not the kind of story that lends well for a sequel .. I mean, look at what they did/are doing to Neon Genesis.

Hikaru no Go could use a continuation and Hajime no Ippo.

Most of the newer series (such as Suzumiya and Back Lagoon) are basically made to have sequels. It probably easier (and more profitable) for the anime companies.

I didnt particularly like haruhi suzumiya. I got bored of it after island mansion murder.

I would love to see more of fruits baskets, black cat, cowboy bepop and now that you all have mentioned that get backers, I might have to get it.

The big question is which anime already has sequels that are equally as good, if not better than their prequels.

Not the best of all series ever made, but Trinity Blood needs a continuation.....

Hmm.. off the top of my head the only thing I can think of is Narutaru, but that wouldn't be a sequel per se, it would be the valid continuation of the storyline that the manga is laying out.

ie... it would be a second season.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime(arcuied was smiling, does that mean she will return)
Fruits Basket (we haven't met all 13 zodiac animals yet!)
Mahou Senshi Negima(we don't know what happen to negi's dad)
Condors Hero(only half way thru)
School rumble(damn yo u harima choose one)
Ichigo 100% (we didn't get to see their movie and what happen to each of them)

Elfen Lied (the story ends at all the charecters getting back together, it never goes into detail about what happens with the Director guy and his plans afterwards)
Monster (Empty room at the end :O)

Wolfs Rain (what happened at the end? some clarity would be nice)
Black Lagoon (already getting a second season I believe)

I agree with Fish13. There should have been a sequel to Berserk. That ending devastated me :shock:

no good anime deserves a sequel, only gets ruined. That's what usually happens anyway. Though I really would like to see an anime made of Onizuka's gang times-- ^^'

Generally, the best anime are the best because they have a great story. A story that runs its course and gets resolved. Shoe-horning the same characters into a new plot would just ruin them.
