I'd generally agree with your view on sequels except in cases where the story arc remains incomplete. I'm thinking specifically of Juuni Kokki and Hikaru no Go.

In the latter case, I felt betrayed that we didn't get to see the 3-on-3 matches with Hikaru and Touya as fellow competitors against the Koreans and Chinese even in the specials. I would have gladly traded nearly all of the filler episodes starting around 60 for episodes that carried the story forward. (Full disclosure - I haven't read the manga, so I don't know if this story line is carried forward there.)

Aye, if the story was already finished, then I fully agree. Sequels for finished stories are just cheap fanboyish dreaming (or cheap money making) that seldom really produces anything worthwhile. So, as much as I liked shows like Elfen Lied, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, and Samurai Champloo, I wouldn't really want them to get sequels. But Twelve Kingdoms and Inuyasha were terminated halfway through. It's like LOTR without ROTK...

As for the people that are saying Inuyasha needs to be continued, I've heard rumors about a movie being made to actually end the series, but whether that's true or not, I suppose we will see.

Tenjou Tenge must definately get a sequel.I mean there was no ending.I think the manga continues but i haven't actually read it.And of course i am dreaming about the sequel-continueation of Berserk too, though i am 99.99% sure that it is a dream that will not come true :cry:

Absolutley Berserk! It´s in desperate need of a sequel!

And i think that its possible since the manga´s really popular.

It might come a remake also.

I can't figure out why people would like Cowboy Bebop to be continued... The ending leaves nothing else to tell.

Personally I'd like Berserk to be continued as well as Tenjou Tenge which was a total disappointment in terms of ending a series.

Hellsing and Blood the Last Vampire deserve a proper endings. I hope that the lastest Hellsing Ultimate will uncover more facts about organization which stays behind the freak vampires.

I want to see an anime of GYO...

FMP needs another comedy season and another serious season.
TRIGUN should have a sequel about random stuff.
Golden Boy obviously.
I'm still waiting for Azumanga 2!!!!
...oh and School Rumble should be eternal.. it's so damn cool.

GTO Definitely, i thought it didnt cover the entire manga?

Berserk, the manga is still going on and weve only gotten 25 episodes, why?

School rumble, although its gotten a bit bad since season 2, the show demands closure ;p

Yakitate japan, azuma still needs to make his japan ^^

Elfen lied definitely, although a sequel would probably be very different...

And this a little caprice of mine, Kaleido star, just another arc could be very good because this is probably my favorite show although im thorn between that, fma and gto as my favorite show, but that could use another season just for the hell of it, another special hardcore maneuver or whatever i dont care, it could possibly be sora's rise to glory? She always seemed like a random good acrobat to me while layla is the star, but sora pulls the hardcore stuff

so i really dont understand why youd need more. even the movie was a bit unnecessary but it was pretty good so i wont complain.

gto no. i absolutely loved gto and i think it was soo well done and ended at a nice spot. the live action is good too. however, as someone said i wouldnt mind seeing his yakuza days animated.

I think:

GetBackers - It just left you feeling...bleh.

Tenjou Tenge - Ya know that they will. The series was left that way on purpose and then the OVA only went two eps more. WTF. Anway there is still the whole Ryuugan to resolve and the Tournament, not to mention the deaths of at least three more people. :roll:

Elfen Lied - Would be good, but it had better be just as violent as the original.

FMA - Would have been better if the company had followed the bloody manga instead of flitting off on it's own. As for the movie....it was total crap.

OHSHC - There is a possibility, but who knows. The popularity of the series was enormous, but it's really up to the company as to whether they want to continue it.

XXXholic - 24 is just not enough. So I do believe that they are doing a second season with an OVA in between seasons, but that is only a guess.

As for Cowboy Bebop, there shouldn't be a new season. It's over. It's obvious.

Trigun won't continue unless the creator makes some more manga chapters. It was a good series and one of the only ones I would watch in English.

I'm pretty sure that I am forgetting something, but I am to tired to think of any right now. All I want to do is sleep.
