And it was really hard to get home from granny's. Cabbie almost crashed twice on frozen ground. But I had to be back to study for two midterms which were due tomorrow.

And our minister of education just announced that no school tomorrow in whole country

To a degree it's nice to have snow. But not in the end of March and beginning of April. Nature dies.
I'm afraid we will have a very poor harvest this year, if any.

Still haven't had to deal with a big earthquake yet. Biggest one oddly enough was when I still lived in Sweden, 5.8 I believe. It sounded like a loud rumble and all the car alarms went off. My dad thought it was a bomb since we rarely ever have earthquake over there hah.

I grew up in the UK, where we have even less earthquakes than Sweden (you've at least had one - we've never had anything - not even a slight quiver). Moving to Japan was a bit of an eye-opener - we've had four decent-sized ones (all around 3-4 on the Japanese scale) in the 6 months I've lived here. Nothing big yet though.

They're actually quite fun. But it always reminds of the possibility of getting a really big one (which is long overdue in Tokyo, apparently), which could end badly. So they are a little unnerving.
