How did I not hear about Sakura Trick until just a few minutes ago seeing a gif from it on Sankaku...?
I thought you've seen it? It's filled with Yuri - non-stop Yuri.

How could I have seen it? It's brand-fucking-new (literally, finished airing last week) and I haven't watched anime in months...

Said funny moments in harem anime are no longer funny after you realize every single one of them involves guy fall down, guy grope girl, girl attack guy.
Its always the same shit, different characters (and lately, less plot)
Cookie-cutter comedy sucks.

Nah, not with what I wanted to do. I already reduced colours as much as possible.
Removing pixels (alpha) managed to save me a whole 2kb. But 108kb != <= 100kb

JPG @98 quality, looks good enough, and at 95kb, it perfectly fits the requirements.

So I woke up this morning to find my laptop slightly damp and smelling of burnt plastic. Needless to say, it wouldn't turn on. I have no idea wtf happened. I was out drinking last night, and don't recall going near my laptop. I got home at like 3am, so there was no reason to, let alone bring any liquid near it.

Ive dismantled it as best I can, which isn't very much, and can't find the source of the burning smell. I have no idea what to do now other than leave it to dry off for a couple of days and pray. :(

That doesn't sound very positive...

Take it to someone who can take a look at it. Did you back up your stuff? Or at least did  you put your stuff on your externals?

Most of my games, books, videos, and music are on my external, which seems to be fine, so that's something. But all my photos (around 35gb), including several hundred from my recent holiday which I haven't uploaded anywhere yet, and all my work etc plus various other important documents and miscellaneous files were all in my documents folder, not backed up anywhere. :(

Although even if the laptop is dead, the hard drive might still be salvageable. I got it out, and it was pretty wet, but I might be lucky. Although I wouldn't count on it, the way things have been going lately :(

I found a hard drive in a landfill one day all dusty and wet probably been there for months and it seems to work fine after I cleaned up the outside of it.
But when I decided to open it up to check it's insides and put it back together, it started screeching and died.

I think your hard drive should have a really high chance of surviving. >.>

Oh, another thing - when I found the computer, I also found a large rust-coloured stain on the floor (which was also wet). I just noticed traces of something similar in the slot where the battery pack goes, near the connector. Anyone have any idea what that could be?

EDIT: What makes this worse is that my phones SD card is currently corrupt, and I need my laptop to boot it into recovery mode to try and restore it. AND my eBook reader's battery is currently dead, and needs to be plugged into a computer to charge.

So I have virtually nothing to do in my spare time without my laptop :(

Take the hard drive out, you'll definitely want to get an external enclosure for it. As long as the hard drive is not damaged you should be fine.

Because you work with sensitive material that includes your work, you definitely want to get a RAID set-up. They're not very expensive and they will save you a lot of headache if you mirror the HDDs. I have minimum knowledge on this stuff so you definitely want to this out. Ask some of the experts in Technology.

USE chargers are cheap. I have like 3 of them though I am not using any of them. I use my PS4 or Computer to charge my stuff. Though the grand plan is to get a RAID set-up going so I can get rid of the externals (too many wires).

I'm watching Full Metal Panic and I just can't stop rolling my eyes! It's so cheesy! Why do people like this show so much?

Mostly because the second season is hilarious. It's not really a serious show, it's enjoyed for its over the top comedy value.

Bob, does your ebook reader not just take a standard micro usb charger?

Are you able to clean that stain with water/tissue? If not, then it could be due to leaking in the battery. But then again, I thought laptops use dry-based (non-spillable?) batteries...

I see. I'm on s1e10 right now and apart from the first 3 episodes it's been mostly serious. The action is really cheesy though and so are the "emotional" scenes.
