You're reading too much into it. The line is actually a quote from a book series I read... to be fair they don't always do the most legal of activities in the books anyway.

manipulator has a negative connotation, because it is a negative thing. Social engineering is just another word for it, but shit is still shit even if you call it delicious candy.

You can make nearly anything sound better than it actually is by just changing the words you use. 'Social engineering' does not sound as bad as 'manipulating.' It might mean the same thing, but to unsuspecting people it might be completely different. Politicians and advertisers do this sort of thing all of the time.

8.25 is still pretty big. Idk. But for some reason square can get their final fantasy to PC, now that they don't have to worry about sony, I guess I will one less reason to but a console. Oh well. I doubt SE will bring FF to PC besides the MMORPG. I know consoles have their exclusives but I can live without those.

Well I liked square well enough, but what squarenix did with the final fantasy series is just stupid. I don't like 11-14 and although I like the tech demo of FF15. I don't like were it's headed. Maybe Sony did think the same?
