3. Social life with like-minded people of similar age.
Personally I think rushing into college is just stupid, since it yields no real pluses, except that you can start working even earlier.
To be honest, if you're smart enough to skip enough grades that it would become alienating in your mind then chances are that it was already alienating before you did it. Imagine having the knowledge you know now and being put in an 8th grade class with a bunch of middle school students. Not only would the classes be so far beneath you and boring that it'd be all you could do to stay awake, that is if you don't just straight up sleep through every class and still pass with a perfect grade, but it'd seem like everyone around you was mentally deficient. You'd associate more with adults like teachers and older adults in their 30's and above because they would have a higher maturity and actually be able to at least somewhat engage with you on an intellectual level. Well, that's not necessarily true either, though they're a much better bet with life experiences and accrued knowledge than the younger more immature ones. Nevertheless, it's like this:
"You should respect your elders."
"It doesn't matter if you're young or old, stupid is stupid." -Madlax
If you're even remotely intelligent you learn that one pretty early on. But yeah, imagine trying to have a conversation with a 6th grader with everything you know now and your experiences you've had in life. But instead of having the knowledge that the reason that you know all of this stuff is because of everything you've went through, instead you're left with wondering why everyone around you is so fucking stupid... You're in the same classes and yet you put in zero effort and can't manage anything less than a perfect grade whereas they claim to study for days on end and barely scrape by, and you never studied at all. Then you get moved up to a higher grade and everyone around you are still idiots.
And then you go to University and you realize that the people in University becoming doctors aren't any smarter than the stupid kids from back in high school. They've just gone through the system; they're just as dumb as everyone else. Well, if you're at an ivy league then they may not be quite so bad as most other universities, but you'll find that it's generally true everywhere, even among the professional world once you have your degrees. I know so many surgeons and scientists that are complete and total fools that it's mind blowing. They know regurgitated knowledge because they put a lot of effort in and tried hard, but at the end of the day there's still that limiting factor, that precipice that everyone meets on a genetic level that they can never move past.
It's probably easier for girls than guys that skip grades, especially once you're out of high school. Nobody really asks how old you are, everyone just assumes you're around their age. If you were a guy you'd probably have a squeaky voice and be small and look young and weak. As a girl, guys tend to think small girls are super desirable, and we always have high pitched voices. Not to mention if you're fairly developed not only will nobody ask how old you are but you'll be pretty fucking popular... Depending on your personality you may have been all along, but you'll feel like you fit in a lot more at that point.
To be honest, it really depends what you want out of life. For most people I'd recommend to enjoy their childhood as long as they can because adult life sucks. Bills... responsibility.. pah. But, skipping ahead is better for some. It also gives you way more opportunities. Everyone likes young people. If you go through everything so fast at the top of your class that it's pretty obvious you're a child prodigy then do you really think that someone that just went through the motions, even if they did it really well, will ever be picked over you? You're always everyone's first choice, pretty much anywhere you want to go. It's not because of your profession and your degree, it's because you've just proven to the world on paper that you're a motherfucking genius.
Anyways on an entirely different but no less serious topic... I just found out that there was a Wolverine movie in 2013...
whaaat!
