So I just took (potentially) my last English exam ever. It's so sad... I liked English
However, it was Eng-lit today and we had shitty novels in class. Well, Heart of Darkness was good,  BUT I MEAN SCREW THAT THOUGH. I'm pretty sick and tired about Africa/Africans as the theme of a novel especially when the OTHER novel was Things fall apart, which is essentially, LOOK, 19th CENTURY AFRICANS HAD CULTURE, LET ME DEVOTE A WHOLE BOOK TO IT BECUASE IT'S NOT ANNOYING RIGHT? RIGHT?

No Mr Achebe, it's pretty damn annoying because your main character was detestable and the plot went nowhere at any pace. I can't hat on you because you're dead though. *sigh*

Are you in AP English? I don't know what you have against Heart of Darkness, it was pretty good. Stylistically it was good, content wise it took some...slamming your head into it for it to mean anything. It wasn't as easily interpreted as like... Animal Farm or The Great Gatsby. I mention those because I'm pretty  sure everyone had to read them, especially if you're in AP.

I posted in a thread that I made in 2011 recently, and decided to read through what had been discussed previously to refresh my memory.

Hmm. Can't get through to the HDD again. My data transfer still seems to be progressing though.
I really hope this only means the data cable is just getting old.

take2: Yeah, it seems like reading off it is painfully slow while writes are going through normally.
take3: Never mind, the write simply got stuck, almost freezing the machine as well. Once I stopped it, I can dig into the drive, but nothing really comes off it at a steady rate. I deleted a likely corrupt file, and now I can access things at decent speeds.

I still go to other forums I used to post on and check back on some of the things I've said. I still remember the first forum I ever joined and I check it every once in a while. I still facepalm for double and triple posting on it, though, haha.

You should get all of your stuff off of it right away, wipe the drive, then put your stuff back on it. It will probably continue to have problems if you don't do something about it.

Running a check-disk, which seems to be proceeding steadily.
Fortunately, I should be able to copy all my data without much problem as long as I can use checksums efficiently. Apparently deleting a corrupted file does something.
However, I'm waiting for my new 3TB to arrive before I can copy everything >_>.......

Started on Spice n Wolf manga volume 1, then the part when Holo is in Lawrence's wagon... Nipples were fully shown and few pages of full colored pages. I was surprised. She's about B cup. I must say..... Awesome art on her body. I like it.

IB Lit-Lang. It's equivalent; arguably tougher, arguably easier, than AP

And nah, you're right HoD was good, just the rest were shitty, like "The Great Gatsby" and "Their eyes were watching God" and "Things Fall Apart." Conrad is actually really funny in a sort of ironic dark way. I was saying how using black people as a plot device rubs me the wrong way, to quote

I quite liked the Great Gatsby...

I can see why you didn't though. It's like how I hated All Quiet on the Western Front, but I'm sure it was actually a pretty good book.
