Thankfully not, and i think it was a game about hitting the solar plexus, NOT a good idea that area is actually more sensitive than the tail end and the pain can persist for over 5 years, and is usually an instant K.O one hit kill area.

Youtube, i think its called getting punched in the stomach game, there were some news reports of this popular trend through, can't find them anyway the game was popular enough to find it's way into that persona 3 spin-off anime.

I don't doubt that it might be a popular game and that's certainly something to be concerned about, but it's near impossible to outright kill someone from a solar plexus punch.

To be precise, you don't die from having your spine cut off at C5. The Celiac Plexus (Solar Plexus) is derived from TH6-12 I believe, via the splanchnic nerves. It does disturb the region and your breathing but shouldn't kill you under normal circumstances.

What I consider as possibility for killing you though would be if the adrenal cortex was hit, however the adrenal cortex is not directly innervated by the Celiac Plexus, and hitting the fibers before they synapse should not trigger a lethal corticoid release.

I feel I've been studying too much neuroanatomy recently... Two more weeks until the exam. With an immunology and clinical medicine exam in between.
