amazing, what are you applying for?
back when I had my highschool exams, if I wanted to study medicine in germany I'd have needed a 100% during the 2 years of our Abitur(Baccalaureat) and 100% in teh final exams. end result: due to the impossibility of achieving that, I am now in hungary, and I can barely communicate with the people here xD
Good luck with your exams.
anyway that nice old lady from two flats away brought me a piece of cake and said something to me Oo Since one of the few things I know in hungarian is "thank you" I properly thanked her for it, but I still don't know the actual occasion for that. It can't be a birthday, since that's another word I know...
I applied and was accepted for English at UofT, I hope to teach it in the future, possibly write a few novels as well on the side. I've always loved English, so I figured I might as well do what I love. I'm terrible at math and science, so I would never get into something like medicine anyway. It's pretty much the same here for that as well, you need some really high marks to get into things like medicine and engineering.
Being able to study abroad sounds pretty cool too though, I don't think I'd mind that. 100% is completely ridiculous to be able to achieve, so I wouldn't blame you for not getting in. Maybe the old lady was just welcoming you into the neighborhood or something? Or maybe she just thought you were too skinny and needed to eat more? I know some European women here and whenever I'm around them they try to give me food because they think I'm too skinny.
Also, thanks for the luck. I'm going to need it because I'm not studying. Luckily the exams are mostly multiple choice, so I should be able to guess a lot of the answers because I paid attention in the majority of the class.
