Though that does not include all facts, only the publicly known ones. while most types of work are limited to 40 hours a week (up to 60 hours a week for certain areas) on a full time contract, with an 8 hour work day (except for things like gastronomy, where it's up to 12), there's extreme abuse of people in areas where there are not enough qualified people. This abuse is people with half time (20-30h) contracts have to work up to 70 hours. That's usually in the self employed and the high-paying fields. Anything mid-class and low class is very secure in terms of work times

Japan's GDP as of 2012 was less than USA, Canada, UK, and many other European and Asian countries. It ranks 23rd on the World Bank's list and 24th on the IMF's list, which I wouldn't really "one of the highest". I just had to look it up after reading your post.

You misunderstood me. I meant one of the highest dept per GDP. So a lower GDP makes my comment truer.
