That said, most hate for autos comes from before the modern ones. Japanese autos were complete shit upto somewhere like 04 or so. European ones were complete shit till the nineties.
That's' one thing the americans did well from the beginning, even the old autos are passable.

Nah, it's more simple than that. I live in an area where a lot of people fix and modify their cars. Driving an auto in this local culture would be embarrassing. I bet I would lose respect of many people that know me.

Get a 40's ford and I bet that won't' happen.  ;D

Because we can!

Hey there !!! How are you people ? I am at work at the moment and still 7 hours to go. Fortunatly i can hang out here.  ;D

Hi there!
I just got back from school so I'm here for a moment before I start playing games.
And I'm fine, thanks for asking. Got K3-, 23/28p from the medical treatment test :3
So now I have passed medical calculus and treatment. :3 had another test today :/ it was harder than the previous 2 combined... and of a lot harsher teacher and more difficult subject ''hoitotyön toiminnot'' I have no idea what it is in english :/ so I think I pass this only with maybe... 22/34? or 26/34... horrible horrible horrible... oh, and 17/34 is the minimum you can have to pass this test....

I just get the feeling you do whatever you can to be different tiffanys.

No, I'm not a hipster. It's exclusive to this. Well, and Avatar for a few months there. But mostly just this.

You don't play many videogames these days, do you?

I don't play any game that requires Steam. If it requires Steam I will pirate it, no matter what, and thereby bypass Steam entirely.

I played Linage 2, Guild Wars, Aion, TERA, Guild Wars 2, Starcraft 2: WoL, Starcraft 2: HoTS, League of Legends, TESV: Skyrim, and Oblivion before that. There's also a plethora of other games I've played. All Points Bulletin: Reloaded, Planetside 2, and Skyrim are fairly recent. Skyrim being something I still play.

I tried FTL and some random shooter games that Robbaz did some videos on and stuff, like the one where it's all vats and you're a sniper and you kill hitler in the end or something.

I play games, damn it!

How's manual compared to auto for you?

It's more control, and some sports cars only come in manual. It feels good. The only bad thing is the days that you feel lazy and don't want to mess with it like if you want to try to eat while driving or something.

Oh and if we're going concept cars...

Ferrari Dino by Turkish designer... Uhar Sahin or some nonsense.

The coolest car is still the Trabi, you could do anything with it (well it essentially consisted of carboard and did weigh less than an adult):

note that replacing the engine is recommended or you'll have to push it at every hill.

Is it true that women put on more perfume with every year they age? It feels like they're more of a walking air fresheners. Man, no wonder some of our departments smell good with old women.

Arghh... inefficiency! Drivetrain designed for combustion engines is still partially used for electric cars.

Ok, here is my idea for the most practical application of electric motors in cars. 4 electric motors, 1 in each wheel. Yes, the motor is a part of the wheel. This results in the following:
1. Motors have individual control and acceleration controlled by computer. No need for differential, throw it out of the window, save weight.
2. Motors are also breaks that once again are controlled individually. Throw dedicated brakes out of the window, save weight and complexity (maybe keep a back up safety system).
3. Weight distribution, centre of mass becomes really low with motors sitting in wheels and batteries running along the floor.
4. Efficiency. We lose traditional drivetrain alltogether. Wires going to each wheel.

With those factors we will get a car that is efficient in energy usage, has low centre of mass and good weight distribution, therefore better handling. 4 motors will be small each, but you effectively have a 4x4 car with good acceleration and power. larger vehicles have naturally bigger wheels and thus bigger motors inside them. A computer controlled "fly by wire" system like in jets: you push the pedal, while computer decides how much each motor will accelerate depending on relevant factors (turning, ground contact, etc).

I really wish I could build the electric car of my design one day. I guess I should re-educate myself to mechanical engineer first though.
