Really? Usually people think it's because I look older than I am, which I don't. I look like a fucking child.

I'm actually not that serious. I just am not as...free spirited as mah.

I'm gunna leave you anyway.

No worries I am yet to find a way to delete my posts....ok, there is no such opinion

I've never found such a button, as for the honor of old, MT VERY 1ST FORUM POST!

Now, how much better is my English :P
glad my 1st post was a shot one... My horrible English becomes more visible in the following 20 posts :D

EDIT:
@Harpy,
thanks, :P
I tend to act lightheartedly and stupid. But I can be sensible at times... and act like proper adult >_>
I just think that holding the child inside oneself close to the heart, makes life more enjoyable. Never to forget what it was to be a child can get one much further than worrying and stressing about everything.
lol Pokemon was pretty cool! I saw what some might call a violent anime as a kid. Ogre Slayer! Was awesome, I was even younger, maybe like 8 or so and just barely knew what a vagooo was. There's a part where *as I remember it* an ogre basically comes out of a girls vagooo and tears her apart lol. Think I posted in the "your first" thread but if not, my first was probably Sailor Moon or Cardcaptors. I'd have to see the Hellsing TV anime to compare but nothing in Hellsing Ultimate as far as I've seen really compares with the cheap, pulpy shit in Ogreslayer and I totally recommend everyone check it out at least once. It's probably terrible but as a kid I thought it was awesome and at the least the scene I described is fuckin' crazy and worth a watch.

Mmmmm, you do not look that old in your photo. But you do do look 20ish.

mAh is a silly funny baby and I love him for that! Ok, not a baby, but fun easy going person that helps one not to forget being silly and having fun.
Maybe not now, but in the beginning when I remember seeing you first, you were all serious and no jokes, if there was jokes it was more sarcasm then just playful jokes. Sarcasm is more fitting to an older person, at least a proper one. Young ones (unless they do have a baggage) do not do a proper sarcasm.

Heh, that just shows us how long you've been a member here :P
But even when I do keep the child within close to me, I feel surprisingly mature with certain people *cough*MY class mates*cough* and for some reason, teachers, etc take me more seriously and treat me like equal :/
I've also noticed, that usually, the best of us, keep the child close to their heart.

Really? Usually people think it's because I look older than I am, which I don't. I look like a fucking child.

I'm actually not that serious. I just am not as...free spirited as mah.

Metro, people guess my age between 25 - 30. Kind of saddens me... Wait for me to lose the braces next month... Maybe gonna post a picture...

I'm this free spirited only because of my past. Life is too short to be confined in a small box and not showing any emotion.

@LillyTown
if you've seen Ultimate, no reason to watch Hellsing TV.
Nothing else to say >_>

@Harpy
heh, thanks xD
People do wonder and are surprised when they see my beard in real life for 1st time xD I'm pretty much the only one in my family who is able to grow facial hair. If I would shave, I could be mistaken  for a girl, a good reason not to do that :D
And I would say metro is cynical and sarcastic , a person who has lost his hope for the world.

@mAh - hei, I have been a member only for 8ish years here. That's not that long!
Well I do work as a teacher at the moment :D I have to be serious at times. I think most people can be serious when needed......ok, unless they are dumb blondes (not hair color but mindset).

Hm, I do not think you look like a girl without a beard, I think there were some pictures of you without a beard. You just looked young. Beside according to you (and the article you told us about)- chicks fall for girlish dudes.....
Hei - shave your beard and show us a picture, the beard should grown back soon.

Good stuff, I'll just throw all my darts and hope a few hit the board ;) First of all, mAh, you'd be a scary damn woman. I always got the 'slick your hair back in the shower' jokes when I was younger but I've got delicate features and was prolly 130 @ like 5'9" in HS. I'm a bit thicker now but from a distance prolly look thinner as I'm 6'2" and like 2-30lbs heavier. I can't grow a beard to save my life, it's like a goatee is all I can manage so I shave if I intend on going outside or just wanna feel secksorz at home.

I love to 'embrace my inner child' and like... do things I used to like, only better. Like as a kid a great night was staying up late, playing tons of video games while eating cake or something lame like that. I pretty much do the same but without anyone to tell me to go to bed or turn the sound down. I get all giddy when an OP comes on that I really like and I just start singing along if I can and it's awesome! I don't know Only My Railgun but I sing the eponymous line every time... Looking! The blitz loop the planet to search a way! Only my railgun can shoot it! It gets me pumped up to watch Misaka kick ass!

Also, 1000mAh, I think u wanted to see the 'science lab'(Steins;Gate ref. #004) right? I've been lazy so it's still a disaster but prolly get a cool pic later today or tomorrow, hopin to have it picked up by tonight so I can relax and just watch anime. I'm kind of slow though due to my 'issues', I just started some laundry and picked up some of the dishes.

Oh hey, goin off my pic(which *is* a year or 2 old) what would you guess my age to be?

haha, I was almost about to shout ''hey!'' about that blonde thing but then you said ''--not the hair colour but mindset'' xD I do make blondish mistakes at times, then when I'm all like ''yeah, yeah, seriously''
then ppl look me with dumbfound look on their face and then tell me what I said wrong, and then I just look plain stupid xD and am like, ''what?''

haha, gonna switch for the img thread, not gonna shave of my beard, but gonna post a about 2 years old picture where I still have bad teeth, long hair and no beard, then a picture from last month, so just compare.

Lilly, don't worry, I'll wait for the pic.

Yo, yeah I'm doin it up on the [Game] threads. I'm prolly gonna watch some Hellsing Ultimate in a minute, fell asleep last night before finishing the series. Every episode of it has been awesome so far and I totally recommend you all check it out. It's prolly pricey to buy but if you have no qualms with *not-pirating*.... I'm against outright piracy of things you really love and intend to keep forever but Hellsing is just entertainment for me as I don't love the characters. A shame as the quality is amazing in every regard :\

Right now I'm lying on an 'afghan'(I think that's what they call these knitted blankets) my great granny made directly on my mattress. With my fear of germs/bugs/etc I'm concerned about dust mites from my mattress and 20 million other varieties of likely fictional monsters... I mean germs/bugs/etc. I should prolly talk to my doc about it more and try different medications but I'm hoping I'll rise to fame before too long and with practically-infinite funds I'll get a maid and replace everything I use on a regular basis. I'm sure it sounds psycho but it's at least kind of funny to me that *this* is my life.

lol *not-pirating* is code
I intend to buy most of the things I really like but even still, I like to have multiple copies of the few things I really like in life and some I leave in the package. Think of it as saving them for my deathbed or maybe just preserving them. The last thing i really went crazy on was Marithe et Francoise Girbaud's Shuttle jeans... if you haven't seen these, you're missing out lol. I had probably near 20 pairs, like 8 pairs in red and black as I loved them. I just threw almost all of them away save one authentic pair that's brand new as I'm sort of over them. I have a decent collection of American comic books, all from when I was younger but my dad would let me get like 3 or 4 of the same issue if it was important like a #1 or the Superman wedding issue etc. and then I'd get all the variants and such. So you see, even after I get 3 copies of Nanoha the movie 1st at $80+/pop I'm gonna keep my rips so that my blu-rays can stay packaged nice n tight.

There's also the issue of not having an income. I *will* have cash and fairly soon but I just don't right *now*. It's not *right* of me to enjoy a product I didn't buy and can't even afford but since it's possible I'm going to and I'll hope that buying 19 bajillion copies of Shakugan no Shana at a later date makes up for it! :)

Play it while downloading 4?
Yeah, I started it.
I hear 3 is pretty good.
It seems okay so far. I don't know how different 4 is. It's kinda silly how crazy things get if you kill a lot of people. Like no matter what it ends up being like helicopters and troves of people coming at you... if it's the cops then they even send in freakin' tanks and military guys in hummers.

I love the female VA though. I think she's the girl that did the Major from GitS? One of my favorite VA's.
If you're into giant purple dildos.
Heck yeah I am!  ;)

lol on a serious note though, it's actually about seeing just how hard Nanoha can curbstomp people and then when you start to get bored of that all the people that got stomped take turns curbstomp-fighting the new baddies. Rinse n repeat 'till Nanoha's got a crew of like 19 friends. Throw in the occasional DBZ back-n-forth curbstomp battle with lots of +1 swords and super-form power ups. They must have seen the future and were like
"oh this Gurren Lagann shit is gonna be popular! We'll do the same shit but EVEN MORE 9000! Fate-oh-chan(lololol) can haz giant laser-swords that fill the screenz in yellow light! Oohh, more mecha parts to fly around here! Oh hey, I was playing this RPG and saw this 'Petrify' shit, seemed pretty bad ass... let's fit that shit in... And, uh... we're gonna needz us some more pantsu, mmk?"

I hope my sarcasm didn't go to waste :)

^ no, no.
I didn't mean it as a joke.
And Nanoha actually has a relatively complex plot and it has character development.
Pretty much everything is connected to something.

But then the feel the series leaves me with is this:
This is a series about 2 lesbians too shy to come out of the closet.

The series itself has everything from emotional build up to foreshadowing, but that feeling is all that I'm left after each season.

I feel you, I didn't think you were joking. I just thought it was funny that the show is so full of tropes. It's unique in the way it combines transforming mecha tropes into the magical girl shit but I think there's very little that's 'actually unique'. I also don't mind people criticizing the show, it's dear to me but I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that hate it for some reason, as if it killed their dog lol. It's not perfect, no anime is but to me it goes beyond perfect. It doesn't just do everything without fail but goes above and beyond. When I saw the first episode I was mildly impressed in the first few minutes and was like "why's this so popular?" But then Nanoha starts transforming and I just sat staring at the screen in *awe*. I wound it back and watched it like 12 times in a row and not to perv out on her animated nudity. It just blew me away how they animated something so complex but never go off-model. At all. It's all so smooth, slick and beautiful and beyond anything I could've come up with. It's beyond *my perfect*, if that makes any sense.

This isn't really a response to anything you've said but sort of something I've been hinting at and maybe others feel the same way as me. Even though you can go buy a DVD of Nanoha, any one, for maybe what? $30? $50? Shit, let's even say $100 for 'the movie' on blu-ray. So that's $100 and most people complain that it's waaay too much and a 'rip off' etc. I can agree that it's a lot for a disc but I think what's on it is worth a lot more to me. Millions. Billions. An infinite sum beyond comprehension.

Just to see that one scene one time is worth almost anything. Now, I've worked through this equation one way, let me work back through and explain what an incredible value anime is to me. First of all, it's $100 but worth billions to me. There are other scenes on it that are just as important, moving and beautiful to me. K, now we're talking... for $100 I get a copy of something I value more than anything besides other art. Further, you can download an ISO that is completely identical to the best of my knowledge, for free. Now, it's not *just* this one series that I feel so passionately about. I'll make a short list of the shows/movies/OVAs that are quite literally priceless to me.

Every Shakugan no Shana-tan short
Cardcaptor Sakura along with the 2 movies
MGLN all 3 seasons and the 2 movies
Lucky Star+the OVA
The Five Star Stories movie
Puchim@s

I think that pretty much sums up shows that mean more to me than literally anything else. Don't think I'm some immature weirdo that just enjoys watching cartoons SO damn much. It's the illusion of life that's created and the sheer beauty of what's being animated. To me, seeing something beautiful is the best thing in the world. I'd say the best 'feeling' but it doesn't really create a physical sensation like drugs or what have you. It's maybe sort of how we all enjoy watching anime or playing games but there's no narrative to just watching bits of animation.

I can sort of liken it to how I often listen to music: Most people listen to a song front to back. I do the same for some songs but what I find most beautiful in music is the sound of scales or 'scalar' passages played quickly. I'll often listen to guitar or synth solos again and again and skip to a different songs solo/lead passages without listening to the rest of the song. The solo in MJ's Beat It, the intro to Sister's Noise, any guitar solo by Chris Impellitteri, the winding synth melody in Right Round by Flo Rida are but a few examples of what I consider the most beautiful music. It *does* get tiring after a while, I get sick of hearing scales thrown at my ears for hours and hours. Still, at the end of the day I'd rather listen to that then all the other music in the world.

I'm not trying to argue any point, just sharing my world view that I've kind of refined throughout my life. Tell me what you think if you bother to read it at all.
