What are you researching on anyway?
History. First it was Islam religion, then I changed it to Japan, then went back. Decided to opt for Rome, then fuck it all went back to Japan. WOW the limited research in this library gave a fuck of uninteresting things. Especially Islam, it was either severally corrupted, incomplete, or just words of other correct documentations which doesn't help this research paper at all. There was "nothing" on Rome, at least I didn't waste my time there. Then there was this Japan stuff which was like ... weird. I don't know. All I know is I need one more retarded page to pad and I'm done with this crap. I got 20 minutes to do this final paper before I head to work. POWER TO THE LAST MINUTE OF DOING ESSAYS! Woot.
You should do the Punic Wars.
It's kind of epic, AND you can use this:

I use to love writing essays back before I had to cite sources for freakin' everything. Sucks the enjoyment right out of it. The day that I had to write my first annotated bibliography was the day I stopped enjoying academic writing.

Wait, you had a time when you didn't have to cite everything you wrote in academic essays?

Because we can!

You made a jump there with that assumption.

I said academic writing, not academic essays; e.g. pertaining to any writing that takes place in any learning institution.

I feel you on that one, the problem is I have to do one this semester for biochemistry, and then defend it befor my seminar group...

Following comments about roman history:
1. started EU:Rome
2. changed to start date of punic wars scenario
3. Ruler dies - populist faction suceeds

Piece of shit references. What's the difference between annotated bibliography and references and citation? This shit is confusing. My brain can't handle stupid shit!

A bibliography is the list of references at the end of an essay.

Personally, I dont mind essays or referencing that much. If I'm using a computer at uni, I just use Endnote, which makes it really painless, and if I'm at home, I use the built-in reference manager in MS Office, which isn't as good, but still takes most of the work out of it. When you can add and remove citations without having to update the entire numbering system by hand yourself, it becomes a lot less torturous.

An annotated bibliography takes it a step further: http://guides.library.cornell.edu/annotatedbibliography

Quote
An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and documents. Each citation is followed by a brief (usually about 150 words) descriptive and evaluative paragraph, the annotation. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited.

Soul rending.

Oh, I have never encountered one of them in all my four years of studying at uni - maybe we just don't do them in the UK. They do sound a lot less fun.

It's not less fun. It's fucking hell that's what it is Bob. My last paper was 30 pages bibliography, 20 of the actual paper, just fuck that shit.

You mean you count compulsory schooling as academic or you didn''t' have to cite everything later? We sure did.

Because we can!

My teacher had made us use annotated bibliographies for politics and law in high school as well. That was for a 15 page final assignment.

Needless to say, it wasn't fun.

Every school is academic, it's a learning institution. So yes, pre-school, grade school, middle school, high school, and then what follows. It's all a part of academia I think.

It could be the wrong word usage but I'm not sure of a better one. I'm open to suggestions. :P

I hope that was double spaced.

I've only had papers like that in my 300 level classes.
