Why are people so crazy about Hatsune Miku who is just a vocaloid (e.g. image used for voice synthesis software) and not even in any kind of anime or anything? I've always found it completely ridiculous.
To me, she's not real and not a human. So there is that gap of where in real life, this man-made synthesis software voice is
not real. Then when I watch her on concerts or listen to this program's singing it makes me freaking happy. So what's so special about this unreal thing?
It's not human. It's man-made for us, the fans. It's there to give us whatever we really want to reach out for in our desires. Between hope to believe or to love or to listen to the hard-rock singing, metal-electronic music, lyrics, etc. This is my reflection on Vocaloid. Though the real reason is because specifically these man-made voice singing applications are
not real which puts them above us, and below us. They won't betray nor lie. They don't know that they exist until and the possibility of creating an AI that will become Hatsune Miku. They're not filthy like us nor they commit crimes or mistakes. They're not abnormal like us or selfish. Do you get where I'm going?
At the very least, this is what I see in Vocaloid. And I fucking love it. My crew at work know about Vocaloid and think it's weird and I listen to it whenever I feel like. The feelings are great. The singing is great. I got into Vocaloid from seeing the very first concert. Damn ... that experience is like a whole new world to me.
So anyways, someone buy that thing for me!
