I'm quite sensitive to sounds while asleep.

I know we were... Lots of teens I know took statistics in high school... and I had an Physics teacher in 9th grade who once implemented the bell curve to an assignment once (in a group project, only one group could get an A. The group with the lowest score got a D, even if it was A quality work... because someone had to fail).

Different countries, different systems, different teachers, I suppose
They do this here too.

I don't remember any bell curving in high school...only dropped questions / bonus points.

They didn't do it that strictly in school come to think of it, only in college.

Another two tests finished. They were ok too. I will get above average marks but not the highest. Sigh. Seems this week isn't in my luck. Oh well. Still have one more chance to get it done right. I need some cuddling though.

Why, why, whyyyy do the Japanese not understand the concept of central heating? :( It's freezing, but not a single building here has any kind of heating. It's ridiculous :(

I do have an air con, which can heat up my room if I really need it to, but of course it costs a fortune to run, so I just can't afford to. And I have to keep my coat on in the university library, because it doesn't even have air con. :(

On the plus side, I discovered a pretty nice ramen place just across the road from where I live. Eating there warmed me up pretty nicely, and it was so cheap :D

...Yeah, I can't decide whether I love this country or hate it.

HAHAH, I win, Koreans at least have small gas boilers in most city apartments. I have heated floors.  8)

But everything in university is fucking freezing. Our language class is like a refrigerator right now. The idiots even keep the lobby doors open all the time, ugh.

Because we can!

I must say I'm a great friend of district heating, as long as it's cheaper than all alternatives. As many things that were implemented during socialist times, it's reliable and cheap.

Look on the bright side. At least the faculty you're in doesn't have fifty bazillion turned on fume hoods with a health and safety requirement of having to exchange all of the air inside the faculty every 3 hours.

While that's lovely in the summer. It gets a bit iffy once the temperatures hit -20.

On the plus side, I've learned how to hold a pen and write with winter gloves :)

Heheh, that sounds lovely.  ;D

My best effort with winter gloves is disassembling and reassembling pistols and assault rifle with No-Can-Dos  :P

The scale of Pacific Rim was too gigantic. I don't even know if the law of physics would go right with this movie. But my heart skipped so many beats watching this thing grow bigger and bigger. Thing thing makes me want to go back and re-play Muv-Luv Alternative for a third time.

Ohhh I LOVE heated floors. Had those when I lived in Iceland. My cat loved to just lounge in the bathroom on the warm tile. lol

Speaking on freezing... Florida is COLD. And yeah ok some people will be all "it's not THAT cold" but hell I'm shivering. A 'frosty' 59 degrees F tonight (That's 15 degrees Celsius, I feel proud of myself for solving that without having to look at the formula. yaaaay.)

In my defense on the cold bit, I do tend to get super cold when I don't have an adequate amount of sleep. I hypothesize it has something to do with how your body lowers its body temp. while asleep (but what do I know?).

On another subject... Today's been one of those days where nothing seems comes out right.... :/
How do you guys cheer yourselves up? I need a picker-upper.

I've been playing too much Civ5:BNW.

Max nations, max map size, max city states, one endless landmass.

I ended up near the upper center, so I'm basically the 'go between' when other nations are at war.
