But the 30k job has has better insurance, and both have pretty good retirement plans.
Retirement Plans!? I want one.

Most people do, and I'm lucky that my CS/IS degree is in such demand.
Plus I'm willing to live in places (too cold, to small, too hot) most folks don't.

I'm not young anymore, it's one of my major priorities.

It's also my first non-hourly job, [...]and both have pretty good retirement plans.
huh.
It will be my first non 'would you like fries with that' kind of a job.

You know, 401k and stuff like that.

Then take the 50k job. You get to add more cash into your savings and insurance can be self funded.

Lol, I went for 3 weeks sleeping only 3-6hrs per night and going to sleep between 2-4am and waking at 8-9am for school. (school starts everyday at 8:15am).
So yeah, I need meds for me to fall asleep 12am. ....and 3mg of melatonin takes 3-4hrs to start effecting for me.

That's sad. My vacation (the one I referred to as Nov/Dec/Jan Holiday) starts from the 1 Nov to the 13 Jan. (I was wondering why you had to go to school.)
FYI: Spring vac is on the entirety of March and I get a week off on Aug & in Feb.

That's too short, get to uni so you can have it off from the start of May till the end of August. Plus one month christmas vacation. And three week easter.
All in all, half of the goddamn year is holidays if you're in uni.  ;D

Why am I the only one loosing out on vacations, despite being in University? I get 5 days of during the winter/chrsitmas exam period (the three christmas holidays, silvester and new years), one week for easter holidays, and my summer exam period ends between the 25th and 30th of june. The next semester starts at the end of august.... That's all I get all year long...

Here kids get off for Thanksgiving, like an entire week or two at the end of Nov, then they get another 4 or so weeks of for Christmas. I don't even remember.

My uni gives about a week off in mid November and then almost 3 weeks in December, then 3 months (May-July).

I kinda lost Motivation to play Dark Souls for a while, not only did it be like it is normally is, full of bugs and glitches. It actually ''ate'' all my souls.

  - I got out from New Londo to the VAlley of Drakes with about 60k souls I looted there (yea not much, but I was in NG).
Killed the 1st 3 drakes and so on, walked to the bridge, then, the Drake on the bridge.
Everything was going fine until, my character does 180 degree turn and does heavy attack with my Zweihander +10 and takes a step. Then the tail of the drake throws me off from the bridge (while it is in mid-air and doesn't hit me) into the ravine and I die.
Ok, that is still acceptable, so I went from Firelink back to the Valley of Drakes to pick up my souls and humanity, except, they were not there.... NOT THERE ANYWHERE! Not anywhere in the area I spent the last 20 mins of gameplay.... Kinda sucks... I could have used the souls to upgrade my sword to +13 and level up twice.... sigh.... The game practically wasted an hour of my gameplay...

In the UK we get about three weeks at Christmas, two weeks at easter, and then the entire of July, August, and most of september (depending on exactly when your summer exams finish, and when you're expected to be back for the next academic year at the end of september).

In Japan, it seems like we get a couple of weeks around Christmas, then 15th Feb - 31st March, and then a month and a half-ish in July & August.

It sounds like JoonasTo wins on the holiday front :( Although I guess the UK is fairly close, too.
