In the UK we get about three weeks at Christmas, two weeks at easter, and then the entire of July, August, and most of september (depending on exactly when your summer exams finish, and when you're expected to be back for the next academic year at the end of september).

In Japan, it seems like we get a couple of weeks around Christmas, then 15th Feb - 31st March, and then a month and a half-ish in July & August.

It sounds like JoonasTo wins on the holiday front :( Although I guess the UK is fairly close, too.

A new research paper came up in the last edition of Nature. Apparently, scientist have discovered that it's impossible with the human mouth to chain certain phenoms one after the others. For example, It is impossible to chain "eye", "laws", "dug" and "aim" one after the others without stumbling.

Finished with the kaichou wa maid sama manga finally. Pretty good way to end it. I am kinda sad that it's finished and that there won't be anymore of it in the future. It's kinda melancholy feeling.

Everyone stopped played it years ago.

Are 0.2mm or 0.4mm o-rings better for a mechanical keyboard with red switches?

Oh and Tatsu, I found out my WEI...

Code: [Select]
<WinSPR>
<SystemScore>8</SystemScore>
<MemoryScore>8.6</MemoryScore>
<CpuScore>8.6</CpuScore>
<CPUSubAggScore>8.5</CPUSubAggScore>
<VideoEncodeScore>8.7</VideoEncodeScore>
<GraphicsScore>8</GraphicsScore>
<Dx9SubScore>8</Dx9SubScore>
<Dx10SubScore>0</Dx10SubScore>
<GamingScore>8</GamingScore>
<StdDefPlaybackScore>TRUE</StdDefPlaybackScore>
<HighDefPlaybackScore>TRUE</HighDefPlaybackScore>
<DiskScore>8.1</DiskScore>
</WinSPR>

It turns out on Windows 8.1 you have to go to... C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore then open the latest Formal.Assessment file to see it since WEI was removed.

Well I was able to go to sleep early after I took 6mg of melatonin....
Sigh...
Yeah I started my semester sleeping with this drug too. I works pretty well and it rarely has side effects.

^ You're lucky that you even have snow. :yes:
I just realised that lots of skin is peeling off my hands, seems to be this. Anyone know of any possible causes? 'cause the wiki didn't say much. :unsure:

Unless it's a sunburn(or other minor skin infections), the stuff mentioned in the wiki is WAY more severe. Did you fall on your hands recently? traumas may cause this too.

Anyway, does your skin come of looking like:
1. small round or quadrangular lentil sized pieces (this one is unlikely, since it usually indicates a hereditary disease that should've kicked in in childhood)
2. small bran like pieces (more likely, there are several skin diseases that cause that)
3. plates (these may be as large as a knee or elbow, but can be very small too) (again mostly hereditary, CAN be an indicator for auto-immune diseases)
4. leaves (no idea what causes that form, I'd have to look that one up)

Also another thing that causes it (i doubt that it's the cause in your case though) are acarians (mites).

Nah, I think that I was scratching the area a lot last night because of a itch. The skin just peels off with no distinct shape, so I think that it was caused by trauma like you said. Thanks so much! ;D
