http://www.extremetech.com/electronics/178732-ugetlights-liquid-cooled-led-bulb-does-it-stand-a-chance-against-switch

this makes me wonder, have they tried phase transition cooling yet?
they could use a non-conductive liquid to cool them in a phase transition from liquid to vapor, and back to liquid which are routed back to the leds, similar to how heatpipes work.

does anyone know if theres a reasonably priced and decent e-ink dumbphone in the market? i wonder why they hadn't tried that out?

e-ink with edge-lit lighting would boost battery life through the roof imho, dumbphones in particular has that minimalistic hardware to even last a few months on battery while on standby mode.

a microwatt wouldn't even be enough to power intel's quark though.
and we might get higher power outputs by tuning antennas to stray frequencies.

it just makes me wonder when these vaporware will ever reach retail, theres so many "breakthroughs" out there that'd been discovered years ago yet still nothing.

well it does look like it sucks, pun intended.
but i kinda wonder why they bother doing it like that, its too prone to mechanical wear.

you could've left it as "theres this tech being developed" imho, the previous one sounded so much like an ad XD

uhm.. you're right :p it's just that I was taken by the enthusiasm (I really wanna fill every corner of my room with nendoroids), sorry about that, I'll add the link back in a few mins, this is the only 3d printer with a resolution of 0.01mm, the previous models were capped to 0.02/0.025 (like the "form 1" which is based on a similar technology).

It's just over-enthusiasm with words commonly used in ads and infomercials. Amazing and incredible, huh? Take the bias out by using "cool" or "interesting" or "high quality" instead.

On the 3D printer note, check out the Mod-T on Indiegogo. Funding just closed yesterday. Just couldn't resist a $250 3D printer.
