html question
« on: June 04, 2013, 08:19:40 AM »
I adopted my first torrent and after fixing it up a little, and dabbling with a the html in the template I used, I noticed the description is quite dull. Other descriptions have cool background pictures, fonts, colors, etc. My question is as follows: Where can I learn to make my torrent look ultra-cool too? I want it to be aesthetically pleasing as well as informative.

Start by examining codes of the descriptions you like. You can view them by using

http://bakabt.me/sandbox.php?id=######

where ###### is the ID of the appropriate torrent.

Taking into account current size of the adoption pool, fancy descriptions are not too important. You can help MUCH more by performing a mass fixing of obsolete descriptions like this one:

If you want to learn HTML and CSS professionally, CodeAcademy is an excellent training ground.

It isn't as hard as it might seem :)
