Holy shit! I didn't even know there were that many Gundams... 
I doubt there will ever be an end to Gundam. They can make TONS of them as long as they keep the same formula for each show.
1. Make a young male with "explainable skill" into a pilot.
2. Make sure he has a female childhood friend. Preferably one that has mixed feelings for him.
3. Give him an alternative girl to have a short romance with, giving him the pain of loss to force his character to develop.
4. Add a Char or Char-like-character. (This was one of 00's failings.)
5. Kill a few minor characters that the main knew, was friends with, or was related to. (Holy s*** that happened a lot in Zeta gundam.)
6. Completely ignore any technological advancements like Keys, Passwords, or Remote Shutdown when it comes to Mobile Suits. Gotta let them kids run off with brand new models and get them destroyed, then fail to properly discipline them for it... (God I hate Zeta.)
7. Make sure they're not unstoppable. This increases tension and makes it believable. It can also work as a convenient mechanic for them to actually justify Melee weapons through the use of limited ammunition/energy. (A failing of SEED, stupid Nuclear Gundams.)
There are a few more things, but they're not as common as these. For the most part none of these are complaints either.
My favorite Gundam series are The 08th MS Team, Stardust Memory, Wing + Endless Waltz, and Unicorn so far. I still have to watch Turn A gundam.
I HATED the MS IGLOO stuff because the CG threw me off and gave me a headache, War in the Pocket because it was an ungodly level of slowness for such long episodes, and Zeta Gundam because they really needed to keep those little f***ing kids locked up, little bastards stole mobile suits left and right getting them wrecked beyond repair... I would've left them out in space to die.
