MKV
pikolo:
hi, don't know if this is the right place to ask this... but...
does somebody know why when I take screenshots there is no sub on them when the played file is .mkv
when I take screenshots and the file is .mp4, .avi etc. the subs are visible
This is the case whit all my players KMPlayer, MP Clasic.......
Southrop:
MP4s and AVIs usually have the subs hardsubbed so they are part of the video (i.e. can't be turned off). MKV uses soft subs. You need to have a subtitle renderer that works with the screenshot function to keep the subtitle on screen when the screenshot is taken.

And for idiots like me, can you explain me a little more or much more? :-[

I'd rather search for "screenshots".
