Can I get someone else to offer a remux I made?
« on: June 15, 2013, 07:17:32 AM »
So I'm new and found out that I have a raw, 1280x720 version of an H anime (am I allowed to talk about what it is outside the Hentai board?) while BBT only has a 720x480 version, albeit subbed. So I ripped the subs off the 480p version and put them on the 720p version. Of course I will credit the original group, but anyway my point is that I want to know if I can just make a post asking someone else to make the offer for me.

NOTE: I'm not saying I want it to be credited to my account or anything, I'm asking can I like go in the Hentai forum and make post with a direct DL link to my remux and see if someone will offer it to give the community a better video quality release.

That depends on the source of your rip. If it is just an upscaled DVD rip, then the answer would be 'No'.

Please find its page in AniDB and post the link here.

It's the 720p release with no group, it must be since that's the only release with the .mp4 container.

There is no mention of the Blu-ray release on the official website and stores like Amazon.
So it's definitely a DVD upscale and therefore not needed.

This should probably be in the uploaders forum.

However, if it is offered be prepared to justify that it is not an upscale. I have been unable to find any reference from the official sources that anything other than a DVD was released. And, while not 100% it is a very good indication that this is an upscale.

Looks like I was not the only one to go looking.  :D
