It doesn't, sociopaths can seem to be perfectly well adjusted and even charismatic. In many ways it's the inversion of Aspergers, so it takes a certain degree of time and professional observational skills to recognize sociopathic tendencies. For my study - which wasn't strictly on antisocial disorders - the information was volunteered to me by the participants.

So I'm reading this.
The impression I'm getting seems to be consistent with the ideas here of sociopathy, but I'm still not quite convinced the term entirely fits concerning this thread.
