Account question on multi-boot pc
« on: June 25, 2013, 10:22:04 PM »
Would it hurt to log on from more than one os per computer,or should I just use one main system for downloading.
I Haven't logged on since upgrading XP to 7 and soon will reinstall ubuntu so i was just a little worried about stuff like that.
Thanks in advance to all responses.

No, it wouldn't hurt.

...unless you run the other OS in a virtual machine and seed the same torrent in both the host and the guest at the same time.

Good to know.
I have been baned off other sites for such things as Peer Guardian as well so i wanted to play it safe and ask.

Generally speaking, have no more than one instance of a specific torrent running at any time, and you're good.

WTF..?  How the hell would any site know you were running PG in the 1st place?!  And why would they care?

You're better off without such schmucks, anyhow.
