Shikabane Hime
« on: June 27, 2013, 01:32:29 AM »
The premise of this anime seems interesting and I want to watch but I don't want to download, watch and get disappointed so I'm gonna ask before I do all that:
1.Is the main protagonist female?
2.If it's a she, is she really a hero that fights her own battles or is she miraculously saved at last minute by the monk dude with the power of love or some crap?
3.If you can already see where I'm going with this , will I enjoy the show?

Just watched the show, and it was great.

So here's how I explain it:
1. It's a Binary Hero system. The 2 main characters cover eachother, but for the most part its more like she's a badass and in order to keep going she needs a lifeforce recharge from her "Contracted Monk" to keep her from going berserk.

2.  There's very few situations where she actually needs to be rescued because of uselessness, they're usually caused by moral implications.

3. Yes you'll enjoy the show. She's a very strong female lead, she's driven by a purpose and even the English dub is pretty good.
Seinen and Slice of Life cannot describe the same title, because daily life is too boring to be called a plot. Ecchi/fanservice is not plot either.

lol, you should probably at least watch an episode before you shell out and buy it. I agree with bp though, it's a pretty good one. I gave 1 (Aka) an 8 and 2 (Kuro) a 9.
