Identification, please

There used to be this cool anime I watched as a child (so it's not a new series) about two girls, I think it was an outer-space themed thing, definitely had battles, the girls could either reincarnate or transfer their conscience into a new 'host' and I believe it had a yuri streak too. One of them was named Etoille.

Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Anyway, for the OP; There is another show with both an Etoile and yuri, which is Strawberry Panic. No space themes or fighting though, just a standard slice of life yuri show.

If you want similar things uh... Pretty much everything in the Macross series is 2 girls in space and fighting stuff. Two girls changing hosts (well, if it counts if it's more like a huge living mech) then Rah-Xephon.

If you want yuri and fighting though you've gotta go for Simoun, or if you want it on less of a large scale where it isn't huge battles and instead personalized one-on-one then go for Mnemosyne (which is one of the best animes out there).
