El Hazard series has an okay amount of episodes. around 20 for the original (OAV+ alternative world), which is kinda pervy with very dark elements.

then there's El Hazard Wanderers with 26 episodes, a light-hearted re-telling where the super-weapon girl from the original does less massacre and is just ditzy and weird :p

You say El Hazard without even mentioning the main villain Katsuhiko Jinnai?!?! He's hilarious! (At least in the English dub.)

Crayon shin chan has 1126 eps and 21 movies...
Now, if someone were to watch all those eps and movies in a row, would that get them in the Guinness Book of World Records?
The current record is 86.5 hours, so yes.

Have to break that record.... Don't think I'll go official though...

OT, just finished watching Kaikan Phrase (44 episodes). I must say, I really, really enjoyed this one. The anime is old, and the animation is limited (but not to the extent that it is unwatchable). If you want something about music, bands and following your dreams, go ahead and watch this one. You won't regret it! ^.^

I appreciate any new suggestions of anime you did watch (or started).

Also, Kaikan Phrase seams perfect, definitely going on my list ^_^

D.Gray-Man - 103 episodes. The problem is it covers only the first half of the manga.

Other problem is, it isn't that good.
There's no one in the world I'm interested in surpassing, excepted for myself.

It is not that bad either because it is certainly not a cookie-cutter shounen.

I'm normally not a fan of 'long' series, but here's a few I enjoyed:
Dragon Ball
->Maybe the first arc of Z, but after a while I got REALLY sick of Z

Crest/Banner of the Stars
->1 season for Crest, 2 seasons for Banner plus 1 OVA, and there's two or three movies

Soul Eater
->One of the few 'over 50' episode series I like

Clannad+After Story
-The feels, o dear, them feels

Mobile Suit Gundam
->Big fan of the short series 08th MS Team
->MSG: 0079 is a classic
->Gundam Wing is 'modern classic'
->Gundam 00 was pretty good, minus the retarded movie
->Turn-A Gundam is just...AMAZING, and that's before you factor in the OST by Yoko Kanno

Galaxy Express 999
->Over 100 episodes, but for some reason I REALLY enjoyed it

Blood+
->Overall not a bad series, WAY better than Blood-C

Eureka Seven
->Great series, if a bit weak in the middle

Ronin Warriors
->Power Rangers in armor

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
->Great series, just pretend the 3rd 'season' OVA never happened and you'll be fine.

You guys have pretty much suggested some with lower than 50 eps and some that have ridiculous amount of eps. I pull out my hat on you.

I'd like to suggest MAR Heaven, Grappler Baki, Cardfight Vanguard(I'm currently looking for the eps 1-85) Phi Brain, The Knight of the Area, Saint Seiya(This is my favourite Greek-Japanese anime based on the Zodiac warriors and the 2 Olympian Gods of the Greek Mythology. It's pretty huge and has almost 3-4 seasons with about 200 eps) and Eyeshield 21.
Born to like catgirls.
