Upload amount not reflected correctly

<< < (5/6) > >>

qkrwogud:
That's essentially what I have done already;
I've stopped all public torrents and only had BBT torrents running, not really any change.
I would say about 5% of what I'm seeing upload is reflected on BBT.

Freedom Kira:
I didn't say to remove all public torrents and leave just the BakaBT torrents. I said to stick with it for a while (like, a day or two, not just a few hours), reset your client's stats by removing and re-adding the torrents, and monitor your stats. You might be including what your client already has recorded if you don't do the reset. Basically, write down or post what your current stats are, both on the site and in your client, and then again in a day or two with just BakaBT torrents running. Ensure that the correct torrents are showing up in your profile as active during this time.

Typically, if your recorded download is affected the same way, your ratio stays roughly the same as it would be as if you weren't affected at all, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

qkrwogud:
Below is the requested information:
Note I have been using uTorrent, but I've been trying other torrent clients recently, results are the same.

Quick summary is that I've uploaded over 8GB in 24 hours with only BBT traffic, and only about 0.6GB is reflected. That is only 7.5% being shown.

Freedom Kira:
Hmm. As was mentioned already, some discrepancy is relatively common but it's pretty unusual for such a huge difference.

The same thing seems to be happening to your download stats too, though. It might take longer to become a Power User, but your ratio shouldn't be affected very much by this discrepancy.

By the way, that traffic report thing is client-specific, and not system-wide, right...? I don't use Windows 8, but the name "Traffic Reports" doesn't seem to be client-specific. If it's not, try turning off your torrents entirely and see what happens.

qkrwogud:
Just to update on this issue, I believe I have at least somewhat fixed it.
Cause was that I had encryption set to 'forced' under protocol encryption.
I realised I've got some particular settings to help bypass ISP throttling.
So I've used a different client with default settings for seeding purposes.

Thanks Freedom Kira and everyone else that helped :)
