Reccomend me some Anime :)

Hey there folks i've had a lot of success with asking for recommendations on this forum before. So I thought id go ahead and pick your brains again. I am looking for some more light hearted fantasy. Swords and sorcery and all that. Maybe a bit of sci-fi thrown in.  Don't mind a heavy comedy element as long as there is some drama. I appreciate a certain amount of angst in a plot. But I am specifically looking for something that isn't ultra melodramatic. I want to watch something where I can simply enjoy the awesome and not have to think too hard about it.  I prefer more recent cg animated stuff. But I don't mind older stuff too much as long as it's really good. Here are some series I have seen that are in the same vein as what I am looking for. I don't mind intelligent plots. But for now i don't mind if it's clever as long as it's enjoyable and the characters are likeable. Romance is a plus if not tragic. Prefer non "open ended" romances too. Had enough of them. Oh and the main character must absolutely NOT be a tit. I realise this is alot to ask and probably there isnt any one Anime that covers all this but I wanted to give you the best idea of what i'm looking for. Basically i'm fed up of Grimdark. World saved by the power of awesum is fine with me. However i'm looking for something a cut above the usual trite :)

I'm not really looking for anything ecchi but im totally ok with it as long as the plot is there too.

Hagura Yuusha was comedy genius lol. I hate it when ecchi comedy is just so bland forward and obvious. But when it's pulled of with flair and subtlety like this it can be pretty damn funny XD. Somehow reminds me of Ladies Vs Butlers in a very good way. Sword art Online was just awesome don't know how i've missed that series till now.
