Looking for an Anime Movie I saw on BakaBT a while back...

There was a movie that I saw on BakaBT a while back that I had watched previously and I am looking for the name of it.
It was a strange anime movie that incorporated a few different styles of animation, specifically rotoscoped faces of characters at times.

The two main characters used to like each other in junior highschool, but when the story starts the female main character is engaged to another man.
The story starts out with Yakuza coming to collect protection money from a small shop that the two main characters are visiting (The owner of the shop is possibly her uncle) and there is a mention of a promotion for the man who is engaged to the main female character.

(click to show/hide)The yakuza spot the main female character and are attempting to rape her when the male main character stands up to defend her. He is immediately killed by being shot through the asshole out the brain. He goes to purgatory where his death is repeated to him and as he breaks down, God appears to him and gives him a second chance. (I remember a specific line in this scene in the subtitles "Hey, you can't tell what I look like, can you?")
For his second chance he immediately grabs the one of the yakuza's gun and kills the guy, and runs off with his ex-girlfriend (the main female character) he steals a car at some point and there is a big car chase scene...
The next thing I remember is them being swallowed by a whale, where they meet an old man who has been living there for 30 years or so, and they join him in living there for a while.
That's about all I remember, but they do get out of the whale in the end
hint: it involves a whale.

If anyone knows the title of it, please let me know.
