passing on HxH and JJB. not really into fighting shounen much these days. i'd like fights with more substance than "lets duel because you have something i want" stuff. like in Attack on Titan.

Psycho Pass and Jormungand aren't straightforward action though, they have what the OP lists as "a deep plot".
But yeah Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (2012) totally fits.

Bleh, i guess i'll check out both. i can always put em on hold if i like them enough despite their deep plot.

OIC. Shinsekai delivers though. i haven't got past ten minutes of it yet and it already felt like haflway through the episode(i had to do lot of stuff). nice ambience and pretty good exposition so far.
By the way. the number of recs so far seems to indicate majority of recent stuff
are either Ecchi, Romance, or Slice of Life? whaaaaat.... where da non- pervert comedies at dawg?
