Heh, i ran into this problem several times over, the only way to solve it was to select 2 or 3 files you like and seed them for 2 months straight, i got a nice 6.0 ratio to make for it so i don't have to worry about falling below the ratio now, this is such a touchy subject people yell at you for evening mentioning it once.

I read in one of our threads that there were a lot of leechers that weren't actually downloading the entire torrent of Bakemonogatari (a crude example), so they were technically never reached the point where it would indicate them as a seeder when in reality they actually were, so leecher numbers were inflated.

There's definitely no harm done with Freeleech, so all of your points are valid, I was just stating my experience (and the thread I read) that there might be some caveats to it.

Bakemonogatari is a bit of an unusual case, because it includes all the commentary tracks as separate files, with no subtitles - so lots of people just don't bother downloading those files (since there's no point if you don't speak Japanese), and hence show up as being leechers even when they've finished downloading the whole series.

For other freeleech series, where there aren't any extra files beyond the show itself, that isn't an issue. I think there are some freeleech audio compilations though, which obviously would have that problem, since most people would only download some of the albums.
