Originally I wanted to make a "Awesome female heroes" or "Awesome female leads" but that would injustice to those who aren't a story's main focus even if they should be.

I wanted to make a thread dedicated to the anime ladies that delight our dreams and plague our nightmares.To the girls that are so cool they freeze the room with their divine presence.To the women that prove to us males are the lesser gender.Finally,to the ones we admire not only for their feminine charm but mostly for being a role model for human beings.

Meah,after all that it's mostly just a list thread of characters that do not suck and are also female.It's Japan so it shouldn't be that long of a list.If you disagree with a posted character feel free to say why.Actually I encourage it.

Major Kusanagi Motoko- Ghost in the Shell aka GITS--- She... Kicks... Ass...!!!
Belldandy- Ah! My Goddess---One gets the idea that she is the ideal of a Japanese wife, and how one would court one of them.
Chiyo-chan- Azumanga Daioh---Also a genius, but more socially adept. And cute as a button to boot. Looks awesome in a penguin suit.

Bwahahaha but no.Just NO!
She's a insensitive,selfish moron.
Can't figure out Kuroko's feelings for her or if she can she won't just tell her "Stop,it's not going to happen.Stop,it's not healthy!"
She doesn't share her pain or her burdens with her "friends" because she doesn't have friends.She just knows people and people don't know her.
She does not have a working brain cell."Wow,my attack didn't work the first 500 times so then I must attack him/her again the same way 5000 more times.Maybe it will work"
Also many,many other reasons Misaka Mikoto sucks as a human being.The most egregious is that she exists only to be a love interest.Her only role is to look pretty,appear cool and be stupidly in love with a guy.A guy who constantly verbally abuses her and should he one day marry her he would probably beat her.
Last,she's poorly written,her personality in flux to match the writers story.

tl;dr:no,she sucks as a rolemodel and as a person.

-Kimi Aoi from Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere,almost every female character from this show deserves to be here but I chose Kimi because of her dance and what it said about her.Her pride,her joy,her love and her cunning.I was blown away.
